not all of us have Office 2007, docx is not very handy for us or Linux or Mac users

[edit] found a converter for older versions of Office at MS site

Mine doesn’t. Although I didn’t upgrade to v3, so that’s probably why.

That said, .docx is just a zip file with xml and resources in it IIRC, so you can just extract stuff manually if you really want to. (Google email/docs/stuff can convert it too btw.)

Please keep the feedback coming, it’s all very usefull stuff.

Regarding PDFs, the problem there is that I don’t believe you can copy and paste their contents, so those wouldn’t be very useful in this particular case. I can appreciate that docx isn’t for everyone, though. Microsoft does offer a free Word viewer on their site for those without Word, though in retrospect I think it would have been useful to actually have one included with the kit to make things as user-friendly as possible. I’ll see if that can be done for future revisions.
