I’m not sure there will be a sdk for this game. I have been killing small animals for a few days now but there have been no updates.
you might just have to nab Paul Wedgwood and put him in a saw movie, YOUR ONLY CHANCE OF SURVIVAL IS TO RELEASE SDKs FOR PC PLAYERs.

im concerned why PC players always think they should be first. if this requires any effort whatso ever on SDs side then no its not worth it

why should they, the console players make up a majority of the people who actually play the game

Sounds great to me. Please add a Forum for (WIP) Works in progress.

Cuz its the PC users that work on games on their own time, and they do the work on their PC’s.

Same reason that record companies should firstly fund music other than derivative mainstream chart silliness.

The ideas that work in Brink - the objective based team shooter stuff - came from the PC platform and its user-modding ability. You let the users who have the ideas try them out, and the stuff that works benefits everyone. I’m concerned that console players don’t understand that they also benefit from perpetuating that user-modding ability.

Good idea btw.

From now on, you can follow the progress here:
http://www.exasm.net/wessel/sites/brink/brink_tutorials_site/index.html

All browsers should display the site correctly. If you see an error pm it to me, please

EDIT: Visitors with IE8 and lower see no round corners. For them the site is squared.

(its al bout security) #26

okay how many of you pc players are reaching your 100th hour of brink?? no one? oh well i am soo… go somewhere

(Darksider) #27

Hopefully I can contribute soon, got some Ideas, hopefully SD would release the toolsets in the near future.

(its al bout security) #28

also many more console games sold than pc

(Achtung) #29

100 hours PC , but thats not the point.

When you edit a game you do all the work on the PC then load the PC version of the game to test your edit, mod, model, ect. you cant do any of that on a console.

Im confused about your point. You want an SDK on the console?

(Darksider) #30

What are you babbling about? When was the last time you saw a SDK of any sort on Xbox or console in general? like never this is for the PC crowd for us to make our maps, props and models that SD never thought about making.

(Wezelkrozum) #31

I hope so! They did release an sdk for the previous games, and so they will again.
EDIT:
The DLC is still coming. The moment we have a date we’re 110% sure won’t change, we’ll throw it at the internet. There are many factors and moving parts involved, and we’re wanting to stay as far away from “rolling” release dates as possible.

:stroggtapir:
Well, have a look at the new static design, because the website is online!

Hi guys,

I’m working 12/7 on the site since my holdidays started this week. Altho I must shift the release date for a week or so, because it requires more effort than I thought.

I’m almost finished with the accountsystem. Just the profile settings has to be made.
After the account system I’ll start with the Tutorials system, because it’s the main subject of the site.

So, I would be glad if there are more coders/programmers willing to participate in the project. Just pm me!

Greets, Wezelkrozum.

Looking good, will there be tools and tuts for character models, gear, or weapons?

(Wezelkrozum) #36

The downloadable content will depend on the communities input. You sign up and then you can write tutorials for everything related to Brink. So yes, all will be there.

You can also request downloads, such as maps, mods, prefabs and tools. Every user has a list of his written tutorials and requested downloads into his profile. Which also allows you to see the current request-state of a download. (You have to fill in some information and upload the download or paste a link where we can download it. Then we will check out your work/request to prevent unsafe tools and/or virusses from becomming downloadable)

(Achtung) #37

Great! Im no great tut writer, and or figurer outer, but I’d love to make models and slip em into Brink. Even if just for me. Its been so long since i’ve been able to do that with a game i love.

(Wezelkrozum) #38

And that’s why this website will help you to make models for Brink!

(Wezelkrozum) #39

I have to announce that the release date is gonna be extended for at least 4 weeks. I didn’t reach the deadline to at least make it possible to edit tutorials this day. I’m sorry.
