Today we’ve got some exciting news to share about two big Brink updates in the works.

First up, the statistics site will be going live next Tuesday for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players. PC players can look forward to it going very soon. This site, located at brinkthegame.com, will be your hub for in-depth stats, including data on matches, players and the overall progress in the weekly Battle for the Ark. Really nice to hear about the progress :). Cant wait for the new maps, outfits, abilities and bayonets. However the riot shields probably wont be as cool, possibly exploitable.

Interesting:

  • 2 new Maps
  • 5 new Abilities
  • 2 new Weapon Attachments
  • 2 new Outfits
  • Level Cap increased to 24

Let the rampant speculation begin.

The Napalm abilities sound like they will have a considerable area-denial impact at choke points against tightly clustered teams.

Also, it is interesting that Engineers will now have some ‘choice-tension’ between which abilities they can load out (with only 3 bind-able keys but 4 abilities [Turret, Regular Mine, Kevlar + Pyro Mine]… unless the Pyro Mine is an upgrade to the default Mine). Likewise, this is now true for the Operative [Caltrops, Sticky Grenade, EMP Grenade + UAV] and Soldier [Molotov, Flashbang, and Satchel Charges + Napalm Grenade].

The Medic class already arguably had choice tension [Adrenaline, Speed Boost, Metabolism Boost, Transfer Supplies, and Lazarus Grenade + Field Regen Unit].
