A new story entry has been added:
[drupal=655]Brink Coverage Round-up: Pre-E3 Edition[/drupal]

Here’s one last Brink coverage round-up before we fall headfirst into E3 2010. First up, Colony of Gamers has a new (and lengthy!) community interview with Brink’s Creative Director Richard ‘Rahdo’ Ham, covering virtually every area of the game. It’s pretty thorough and well worth the read.
We’ve also had several new previews pop up over the weekend, summarised below in extremely bite-sized list form:

[ul]
[li]360 Elites [/li]> [li]PC Gamer [/li]> [li]Strategy Informer [/li]> [li]Warrior Nation [/li]> [/ul]
Lastly, E3 2010 kicks off tomorrow and our landing party is already on the ground in Los Angeles. Be sure to follow us on Twitter to get all the latest Brink and Splash Damage coverage right as it happens.

good write up but i dont like the fact that they will allow perks in multiplayer game play. its fine for co-op and single but not multiplayer in my honest personal super opinion =D. |||We really believe that if we can get people into co-op – which is exactly the same as the singleplayer game, meaning they don’t have to learn anything new – then they’re going to enjoy versus mode down the line.”||| learning anything new whats the fun in that?

Thanks for the new bunch of links, time for me to post them around.

Ha ha You too, eh? This time I am going to wait a little longer, and then when the fresh vids and hands-on impressions start rolling in, I will be a busy boy spreadin’ the news.

lol I love the third article.

“Brink features the standard fare of classes: assault, engineer, stealth, sniper, and more.”

Can’t wait for E3 tomorrow, I hope you guys wipe the floor with Gears 3, Halo Reach, and Black Ops. Idk if that will be easy, but I think you’ll be the one no one saw coming. I can definitely see Brink piquing the interests of one million unsuspecting viewers with whatever you show off, and you never know, maybe more.

Good luck, you guys.

In the CoG interview, it says this:

“The Universal abilities can be used no matter what class you are, and there’s a bunch to choose from here as well – from simple things like making your life meter longer, to fancy things like shooting grenades out of the air, to hardcore things like reloading while sprinting or grenade cooking.”

Looks like cooking nades may not be a standard gameplay feature, but rather an ability you need to choose.

(LyndonL) #7

That’s been known for about a month or so

I have researched so much, I forget a lot of what I find out.

Oh noes. What I read: there is a perk that allows you to cook grenades while sprinting. Seems like my perk slots will be filled with abilities I originally took for granted.

(Slade05) #10

Now that`s a loss.

(AnthonyDa) #11

It’s grenade cooking OR sprint & reload perks, not a mix of both.

(MILFandCookies) #12

I guess if you can shoot your own nade, you wont need to cook them. cough

(SebaSOFT) #13

Why to cook a nade if they are sticky?

(tokamak) #14

Because the opponent still can get them off.

I think sticky needs shouldn’t be able to get cooked, otherwise nobody would try coming near the unfortunate player.

(AnthonyDa) #15

Because you can’t throw the sticky nades as far as the common ones (?).

(SebaSOFT) #16

New ability:
Sweating Skin - Sticky nades slip off from you when someone throws one at you, But you trip a lot anf fall down to the floor. Also you can’t control sliding on your knees…
