A new story entry has been added:
[drupal=735]Brink Coverage Round-up: Happy 2011![/drupal]

2011’s here and we’ve got a few bits and pieces of new Brink coverage to kick the year off with.
German magazine ComputerBild Spiele recently visited the Splash Damage offices for a Brink-laden day including plenty of hands-on playing time. The resulting write-up has now appeared in the just-released latest issue of the mag, filling up some four pages with their impressions and new screenshots.
In 100% more online news, Gamers Guide to Life offers a detailed hands-on preview of their own, based on getting to play the game at Eurogamer Expo late last year. Here’s a clip:
Brink is, in the purest sense of the word, a shooter; everything which appears on-screen is precisely placed and serves a purpose, whilst every control is perfectly mapped to the controller. Nothing about Brink feels pasted on, nothing feels pointless and nothing feels half-arsed.
Moving on to more inquisitive things, we’ve also got a trio of new Brink interviews for you. Cleverly, they each feature a different member of the development team:

[ul]
[li]Paul Wedgwood on Fragworld[/li]> [li]Neil Alphonso on Gaming Phanatic[/li]> [li]Ed Stern on GameReactor[/li]> [/ul]That’s it for now! If you’ve spotted any other recent Brink coverage, please let us know in the comments.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but hasn’t all of this already been discussed or announced elsewhere here on the forums?

(.Chris.) #3

That’s why it’s called a Brink Coverage Round-up.

we need some fresh !!!
Feed our addiction !!!

Thanks for the round-up, badman!

(Icemonkeyjr) #6

im getting bored of hearing the same thing :frowning: no offence but we need some info soon

Could someone direct me to the Quake Con presentation images (if they were ever released into the wild) that Exedore talks about in the Gaming Phanatic interview?

One of the levels we showed at Quake Con in presentation form with a few screenshots of it as we’ve not let anybody play it yet. It’s on the border between the richer area and Container City . You can see what was our take on the Berlin Wall. On one side they have a really nice train station. One side pristine another not.

But. . .

New?

Pretty sure the exedore interview is a cut and paste job from another site as well.

I guess SD is tired of us asking for more details. I don’t blame them, or Bethesda. I’m just going to sit back and watch out how they want to write BRINK’s merchandising story.

(AnthonyDa) #11

I guess he is refering to the fact that “XP = Skill” in thoses interviews, that’s kind of a new concept to me, don’t you think so too?

(tokamak) #12

Which of those interviews is that? I’ve stopped reading them.

(BomBaKlaK) #13

if even the most active person on the forum no longer reads the interview so it is really needed to renew the stock !

(amazinglarry) #14

I’m happy somebody else is whining about the lack of “NEW” other than me for a change, hahah.

(Cankor) #15

I don’t get it, these interviews have new dates on them but they are the same interviews previously published. I’m reading this one which came out on 1/7 and I’m thinking, “I know I have read these exact same words before”. It did take me a few minutes to figure it out on account of I’m a geezer…

(DarkangelUK) #16

It’s probably because all of these interviews are filled with the same questions over and over, they were repeating themselves a while ago.

(Apples) #17

Yeah, thats why jammydodger q&a is needed  (for different questions)

(.Chris.) #18

They prob just answered the already answered questions and left out all the interesting ones.

If I fail at my study I can always become a games journalist and copy paste the work of others.

splash damage is twisted, bethesda perplexed, community confused
