Brink changes?

(Cortosis 12) #1

Hi, I’m new to the forums. Anyways, has anyone noticed that Brink has changed over the last few months? The hud & game-play seems different recently than before. For example; The 4-part series of “container city” videos look different compared to the “Matter of class” trailer or more recent uploaded videos of game-play. I don’t know if it’s just me but the hud & game-play in general looks oddly unlike. Thanks for your thoughts.

short answer: it is

A thought: Container City was over a year ago. I know that I’ve got a less absurd beard than I did a year ago, and I look less miserable. Things chance in 12 months.

Back in the day, the main hud element was a much touted objective guide arrow that got I guess got redundancy axed when hud was more fully implemented.

If they couldn’t make it perfect from day one then there’s no hope for this game.

Actually, that’s almost 2 years old now. But yes, it has evolved.

Yea the game was actually finished 2 years ago, but they cannot decide how it should look so they keep changin stuff

I actually think the game looked way better back then(just visually of course).

maybe it’s just because that was the only high quality PC footage we got…(it was played with a gamepad)

The footage from back then looked pretty sweet I think mainly since there was minimal HUD. No HUD will always look better, but having said that I still like having all my info on screen. I reckon a bind for HUD on and HUD off on a mouse button might be a winner.

I reckon a bind for HUD on and HUD off on a mouse button might be a winner.

thats if u have enough mouse buttons. i put hud display toggle as ctrl+f8 in etqw, since hud on/off isnt really a task i need to do quickly. only use hud off for screenshots and lols. But thats just my opinion

Ya the footage earlier in the earlier game-play videos looked much better.

…to being TOTALLY AWESOME!

Rotary numbers FTMFW! Getting points now is like winning the jackpot on a one armed bandit, or hitting the saucer on the old mechanical pinball machines.
