I cant see how brink is going to be finished in spring 2010 if it still is in pre-alpha stage. Even if its in alpha stage i still cant see how it can be ready in spring 2010. Im not a programmer or developer so quote me if i`m wrong.
Brink and 2010
Yeah the date seems a bit tight, but then again, they’re using a tried and tested format this time.
well please watever you do dont rush this game! i am sick to the back teeth of games which had the potential to be really good being rushed and made into bad bad games…
They have until May 2010 before they’re overdue that’s a good 7 months and as DA said they have a lot more people on the team. I don’t think they be so committal about a date if they weren’t sure of being there or there abouts.

it’s all relative. eg what sd considers alpha, ea considers final.
We’ll see how it turns out. You can’t avoid small glitches and imbalances but I hope there will no major problems.
What do you mean by, they’re using a tried and tested format this time?
The Tech4 engine?
Well they got two mission based multiplayer shooters under their belt now. A reason Quake Wars took so long is because they spent allot of time experimenting with different systems (resource gathering etc), that’s not the case this time.
Ok, but brink is going to be something different, except mission based gameplay and stuff.
Brink`s s.m.a.r.t. system, singleplayer/multiplayer working together and character customization is something new.
I agree they have more experience under the belt, but i think spring 2010 is a bit tight.
But i hope they take there time to bring us something spectaculair.
I really hope that they don’t rush this game.
Spring 2010 does sound a bit tight but I think that the main reason it is pre alpha is because they are probably getting it to work well on the consoles which will take a bit longer.
PLEASE DON’T RUSH THIS GAME! I would rather have a late, amazing game than an crappy game released on time.
Its really hard to predict when it will be finished, we can still hope though!
ROFL, QFT
Regarding the topic in hand
I’m also in the pool of prefering to wait for a finished game
Than a rushed job to meet the deadline and then patch it down the line
Having said that
I am definately looking forward to the public beta crosses fingers
Same here, SD if you need another beta tester, count me in, y will help you kill some bugs and glitches and deliver the game in time.
I dont know S***T about Beta Testing, never been on a beta, i dont live in UK, my skills in testing is none (like a blindfolded men trying to dismantle a land mine or a nuclear weapon). I don’t speak very good English and especially cannot type well.
So pretty much i think i have big chances. Where do I sign up? With my help i think we can do this.
