Granted, likewise, the different bodytypes added a layer of complexity unmatched by other games. The 8 songs that precede it are all cheesy tripe which makes a mildly interesting orchestral piece unable to redeem the album as a whole.
Brink 2 is likely
I quite liked resistance mainly because of the links to 1984 but yeah, rest were not great.
Not only is Brink 2 likely, I think it’s already in production since Brink 1 release.
Publishers these days love the word “franchise”.

Brink has shifted a lot of units but has faded really quickly (especially PC). If a Brink 2 came out there would be a lot of people that refuse to buy it based on the terrible launch experience with Brink 1.
While I really love the Brink universe I think that they should move onto another IP and do it properly. I really enjoyed Brink when it came out and played through the sound bugs and switched servers when I got the “invisible enemy team” bug, but eventually I just slowly stopped playing because there are a few issues that are fairly important and they seem to be inherant in the design of the game.
A new IP (or a return to the strogg) would allow SD to release another game with none of the bad reputation that Brink has managed to gather.
SD fans would still be interested since it’d (hopefully) be like their previous ET titles and new fans (who don’t recognise the publisher) could be won over by the game’s merits alone.
Add Brink into the mix and metacritic and general online reviews will sink the ship before it has a chance to launch. It’s a pity, but a lot of criticism has stuck to the IP.
And please do a seperate PC interface for the next game SD. Mappable buttons, unlocked variables and the nice touches like variable FOV in the config menu (I hate hacking around in notepad to change things). The bodytpyes are a nice addition but there’s been a loss of complexity overall from previous SD shooters. Console players will now expect more (since most hadn’t experienced a proper SD game before except maybe a bad port) and PC players expect you to return to previous heights.
BTW: quit the infighting. If someone posts something that looks trollish to you then don’t feed them unless you’re trying to derail the thread. That goes to both sides of the fence. If you want to argue then do it in PMs or create an offtopic thread about it in the offtopic section. It’s like a frikkin soap opera in here sometimes.

Stop flamebaiting please. If you keep attacking people they will keep posting. If you let them just post a negative comment and you don’t attack them then they’ll move along.
Same with all the other flamebaiting in this thread (I’m not specifically trying to single you out Azure, but you were the last to do it here). How has this not been locked yet?
Alright everybody, Here is a update from a method I developed.
What Splash Damage needs to do is not just make Brink a improvement as I said and make the game solid and special. They have to ace the critics. If they can get Brink 2 into critical acclaim like Bad Company 2 did as and example. Brink 2 will get it’s success and players back.
