We have a serious problem with a certain premade stomping pubs driving away new players, the streamer Sharpy_cs and all his friends try there best to get on the same team via server browser and when they cannot they kick members on there team to get others on, I was a victim of this personally. This needs to stop before it gets out of hand, devs can you speak up? Furthermore BEING KICKED GETS YOU BANNED.
Bringing attention to a serious issue.
There is a discussion about this on the Dirty Bomb subreddit also
Yeha, i got kicked from the game by them because i didn’t agree on kills farming and planted the c4.
They already are auto-kicked after 2 minutes totally afk.
Is the ban permanent ? I Guess it is a ban for the remaining duration of the game.
That sounds like a pretty crappy thing to do. Not uncommon but crappy. At least since it’s just a normal server you can leave. Eventually they will get bored.
Didn’t even know you could kick people, can you kick afkers ingame?

When you hold down tab and right click you are able to move the mouse around. Click on a players name and you can start a votekick.

F5 -> 1 -> number in list of players is also a way to initialize a kick on someone.

mine lasted longer than the game, idk how long it is
Would private servers be possible in a game like this? Or does the game not allow things like that?
there are likely to be rental servers, hosting your own with server binaries is far less likely
Hello, I’m going to start this post of by letting you know I’m one of the people in question here (sharpy_cs). I’d first like to apologise as I know this type of behaviour isn’t acceptable. But I would like to raise some issues/idea’s that I have from my point of view. First of all, the OP of this post, who we did kick, we kicked him for what we thought at the time, a good reason. He gave us constant abuse in chat over three different stopwatch matches, came into my stream chat and harassed me and my friends and then proceeded to try and troll us. Multiple other people in the game was complaining about this guy as he was turning the game into a huge argument. I’m not saying that this justifies it but it wasn’t to open a spot up for a friend. Also, other times someone might have been kicked by us was if they was afk as far as I know as I wasn’t the one instigating a kick. Although I totally admit any abuse of the kick system other than kicking someone who is afk is wrong, and I’d like to add me and the friends I have played with had no idea that there was any repercussions for the person being kicked, if we had known that, we would of never even considered it. The last point I’d like to make is that the only reason me and my friends aren’t playing the matchmaking system is because not all of us are level 7 but we still want to play together, and as the game is now, this is the only way. We would play separately until 7, but the amount of time it takes to get there is way to long for that to be reasonable. Anyway, thanks for reading what I have to say, take it as you will.
TLDR : Kicking people is wrong, didn’t know there was penalty for the person being kicked. Some reasoning behind it but still, it was wrong and I apologise on behalf of my friends too.
If you kicked him because he was acting oboxiously, I think your kick was perfectly justified : no one have to spoil the fun of everyone with verbal abuses and such an irritating behaviour. You were perfectly in your rights, and the fact that everyone voted for the kick agrees with you. I have myself no sympathy for that kind of players.
However if you did for another reason.

So you want to tell me, that they are as @Looms said going for kills not objectives is totally fine as they are just ruining the fun for the enemy team is totally ok?
Because that is even worse.
Verbal abuse? Sure give that person a chatban for a few days or a week.
Intentionally griefing by stacking teams then proceed to grief the enemy team as much as possible? Jep that should be a game ban.
Edit: Temporary game ban of course as it is a first time offensive.
Banning people for not playing the way you want seems like a very arbitrary way of doing it.
It is one thing if they are exploiting things in game to get more kills but just because they are kill farming it shouldnt mean they get banned because frankly that is their decision.
Going for kills and not the objective is totally fine. Kicking someone for going for the objective however is not fine.
@Eox Everyone doesn’t have to agree for the kick, he and his friends are stacking so they can kick whoever they like without anyone having anything to say about it.
We won’t know how it really happened anyway. So we can’t do anything but state “Kick againt obnoxious player = good, kick against player actually playing the game = bad”.

I’m not sure where this idea of “kicking because they wasn’t playing the way they wanted them too” is coming from. This just simply didn’t happen.
Hey there. The kick function is for AFK/naughty peeps whether it’s abuse or hacking or whatever…so do use it responsibly. I appreciate the response @Sharp.
