Australia is only just getting it (to every house). Currently we have ADSL2+ standard to a significant portion of the country, but they’ve just started rolling out Fibre To The Home to 95% (I think - rest covered with ADSL2ish speeds via wireless) of Aus with a 100mbit limit (with slower speeds for less money) and 1gbit limit to business. Finally getting to world standard FFS.
Where I live atm is a fair distance from our exchange so I only get 3.8mbit 
Oh yeah, In Aus we have download limits on pretty much every single plan available (and UPLOAD is counted on a lot of them).

France is 14 time smaller than aussie, I’m at 10 minutes of the 6th to 8th biggest town in France, and yet I dont have adsl

For now I have nothing… Some companie told us they were able to give us ADSL but we were supposed to be connected 2 weeks ago, the box is still failing to connect and their hotline is … mmm… bad at best, I’m working everyday and for now I cba to call them 1 hour a day, but soon they’ll see the angry me!
Poor Indian guy who will have me on phone…
