Hello mapping types

The bridges saga is over bridges is the final, you can get it here:

Brilliant news :slight_smile: I’ve had a quick run around the final, looks nice. Is there a changelog from b5 -> final?

To anyone who hasn’t yet checked out bridges, this is worth the download.

EDIT: Maybe a little pedantic, but did it really need the __'s? Not very user-friendly (eg. when /map mapnamehere. Less characters in pk3’s are also better, in case pps wanted to run ettv. Plus imo underscores just aren’t attractive :stuck_out_tongue:

changelog - I suppose i could add one to the web page - in brief though changes are - landscape has been remade and retextured in 2 areas, The spawning arrangement is better - and works, the problem near the truck barrier that led to crashes has been fixed, there are changes to the train to make it more player/user friendly, cover has been made around the edges of the reservoir, the axis spawn area at the reservoir has been doubled, access from tunnel 2 to the boathouse area has been extended and more cover built in, team voice announcments added and a whole bunch of other bits that needed sorting out

So what’s the story of your next map?
I’m working on another et map based around a manor house in the english countryside - sort of a covert axis mission to retreive a coding device - or something!? Early stages though

yeah should a bugfix be needed, please name it bridges_sp1 or something :p.

I wouldnt mind seeing another version of this map, there are just a small amount of lighting and texture fixes and 2 small exploits and mabye a different name. I have loved seeing this map go through all its changes, Great detail man I cant wait to see future mapping projects from you. Thanks for the posts - needless to say I’m glad some of you like the map
It’s a bit of a monster, the next one wont be as big.

if - another version is made I’ll rename it - but - I don’t intend to make another unless absolutely neccessary - I’m quite happy with the way it is, there are one or two (at least) fixes that could be made, but then there always will be. I have to stop somewhere!
and - I want to get into my next map creation.

Cerberus - what are these ‘exploits’?

Would do if I knew, but I’m not sure to be honest Kernel, could be any number of things.

I changed some physical parts of the map, cleaned up lots ofdodgy brushwork etc and killed entities when they are no longer needed in the game - may have effected this
