Hi,

We have been hosting bridges_beta for a while now and it has rapidly turned into one of our favorite maps on the server. I know most of you don’t like all the arty spam of large servers but this map plays great on our 64 Shrub. MrFin has outdone himself with a beautiful map that can only get better with each version. So if you like gaining XP real fast and like doing it with 63 other people come to Whosgaming.com (/shameless plug) . We are heavily admined and have some great players besides the newbies who like to play here. Thanks MrFin for helping to keep this great game alive and fresh. And thanks for letting us help with the beta’s.

We’ve been helping with playtesting bridges_beta3 for the past several weeks. A much more intimate setting (24players) and ETPRO. Standard settings as far as XP goes, no language restrictions, it’s war, not kindergarden. For a full list of our rotation and the few server rules…check out the links in my sig.

We also welcome any comments and suggestions on the current rotation. Should you want to see a particular map on the server, all you need to do is ask and if there’s enough feedback for it, we’ll put it up (or take it down).

Went to your /etmain and website to see what maps you guys had to choose from and got this message:

Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.

Does this happen all the time? I guess it is really"intimate" now.

That began late last night (Stateside). We went over our bandwidth limit, first time it’s happened. We should have the problem resolved by later on this (Monday) evening.

What kind of settings are you running Shazam, on what vid card and what version did you run through? bridges, bridges_beta1 or bridges_beta3?

Thats bizarre Shazam!!

These corners are all fine for most folk!
The only see-through patches are near the dam/road tunnel where you can see through the sky box to the models in the other ‘house’ section. Which btw. will be fixed in the final version with the creation of new landscape and dam consrtuctions.

That was directed at Shazam. r_subdivisions affects how curves are drawn. For example, if you look at the train tracks in Railgun at r_subdivisions 4, they will look a little angular and not line up with the track ties. If you use 0 (or was it 999) then are nice and smoothly curved.

Arg, i don’t kown where i can find ‘r_subdivisions’ (nothing in my profil Etpro and Etmain, nothing in autoexe). I have a little cfg (option in ET are low)
I have a GForce4 on a 900Mhz Athlon.
(And, there are screenshots about beta 3)

look in your etconfig.cfg file for you profile. There will be a setting like:

seta r_subdivisions “12”

You should also be able to just type \r_subdivisions in the console to see the value

I’ve not played bridges yet but I can imagine this being a bit of a problem once certain players discover it and spend the game camping the tunnels.
