and people don’t give me that her primary does no damage, but did you know she can revive a teammate across the map? I don’t think there are any healer that can do that neither.
also those who says she shouldn’t be nerf, you are 11/10 abusing her in match channel.
I rarely post any comments but every time I do post, it’s on something overpowered.
@GamePois0n Have you noticed how Sparks has the weakest arsenal of all mercs?
Her Revivr brings her arsenal only just up to par with that of say Nader’s, without her grenade launcher, and unless a Sparks player has really good aim, as the Revivr is a bitch to aim with, (S)he can’t really do anything to you at short-medium range.
Judging from your comment i think you’re a new player and therefore you don’t strafe that much, thus making you an easy target for especially for Sparks[/qoute]
@sentimentalDime, can you not use insults right away?
@GamePois0n Uhm… Where did i use an insult in my comment?
stop using this, “her weapons are weak” bullshit.
But it’s not bullshit, she has the weakest weapons of any merc.
she can revive a teammate far away, she doesn’t need to do any damage.
Oh, i see, you want sparks to be a walking ‘‘SHOOT ME’’ sign anywhere outside of close range.
Not heal and do damage at the same time.
How about someone like Skyhammer, he has access to one of the best abilities in the game, while also having access to (arguably) the best weapon of the game, the M4.
Edit: Fixed the quotes thanks to @gg2ez
@sentimentalDime, yea at close range, secondary is more powerful than primary weapons, you don’t need sparks to take the front line of DAMAGE OUTPUT. she is basically a bolt sniper with faster rof and able to heal teammate.
Yes, sparks does in fact need to be able to do damage outside of close range, take Vassili for example, his sniper rifles can’t do shit in close range, that’s why he gets his machine pistols, as for medium range he manages with the sniper rifle, it might not be optimal, but he manages.
Sparks can’t manage with a machine pistol outside of close range, so she needs her REVIVR to be able to kill.
And please don’t say something like ‘‘Sparks shouldn’t even be getting into combat’’, as smart players will know to target Sparks before taking on the other teammates, and if she stays behind her teammates, she wouldn’t be in close range, and if she isn’t in close range, guess what? She can’t do shit without her REVIVR.
And by the way, i wrote arguably for a reason.
why are you keep comparing a sparks to vassili, a healer should not be like a sniper, no she doesn’t need any long range damage, a healer needs to stay behind and heal not take the front line and heal.
the way you are explaining why she doesn’t need a nerf, sounds like you are abusing her in game.
also I played her while she was on free rotation, first thing I noticed when I first play her is that I also knew she was op.
a healer that can output damage at all distance is overpowered af
@GamePois0n I compared Sparks to Vassili because they both shine at very specific ranges.
‘‘A healer that can output damage at all distance is overpowered af’’ Huh, is that so, well, Sawbonez can output damage at all ranges, Phoenix can too, Aura especially can with the Blishlok. And guess what, they’re all medics!
The only difference i see is that they also work at medium range, which Sparks doesn’t really, she does however do better at long range than the others, fair trade-off in my opinion.
‘‘the way you are explaining why she doesn’t need a nerf, sounds like you are abusing her in game.’’ Abusing? There is no such thing as ‘‘abusing’’, if something works for a merc, of course people were going to use that trait. If charging Fraggers head on as Vassili worked, people were gonna do it. When the devs release a new merc they don’t say ‘‘This way is the only way you are allowed to use this merc’’, and i’m sure, that if the devs considered it abusing her, they would remove damage from the REVIVR.
And just to get it out there, I don’t play Sparks very often, i just don’t want an unnecessary nerf for her.
@sentimentalDime, one thing you kept getting is that she can range revive, none of the other medics can do that, all other medics are close range revive and heal so they need to do damage as to protect themselves, if you can stay behind then you don’t to do any damage, and seriously, stop compare a medic to a sniper, because a medic is to heal and revive, a sniper is, a sniper.
either take the damage off reviver or make it only work when next to a teammate(within 3m).
I don’t think you are seeing the big picture here because sparks is the only merc that can replace 2 classes.
She can’t replace 2 classes, she can be that inbetween thing, yes she can revive, but she can’t give anybody any health at all, making her not a complete medic, and she can’t snipe with that accuracy and as much long range potential as Vassili, making her a half assed sniper.
actually since the pack buff, a potent pack directly hit heals 35+10 (afair) hp, which is pretty huge
Well, if you play her correctly and stay back and revive people, you will most likely not be able to throw far enough for them to land near your teammates.
nah, you just don’t want her to get nerfed because you are abusing her.
@Eox what was this called again? Ad Hominem or something?
@gg2ez
Yup, that’s called ad hominem.
