Bridge Map Barrier Question

While playing bridge on defense after the attackers repaired the EV I constructed the barrier. My team and I held it quite well I think…

At one point a Rhino managed to sit there and shoot it with the minigun for a while and suddenly the barrier was deactivated.

No c4 was placed. I thought that you had to place c4 to disable the barrier.

Was there a bug in this match or can the barrier be destroyed by direct damage?

If this question has already been asked and answered I’m sorry. I was just curious after the match I played.

It can be destroyed by being damaged.

One of the strats for this is sit a nader across the street and lob grenades at it. Also, Sparks was abused before the most recent patch as her Revivr gun would put serious damage into it as well. Rhino can also mini-gun it down. Anybody can damage it but I believe the most efficient method is Nader currently (correct me if I’m wrong).

So many teams choose not to even plant the c4 unless it’s just handed to them on a silver platter.

ALL secondary objectives can be destroyed with normal weapons, etc. Only primary objectives require C4.

As clarification, the EV is a primary objective and can be destroyed with normal weapons/abilities and the Capture Point secondary objective on Terminal is not a destructible, so no weapons can harm it.
