So, you have two options to destroy the generator in the bridge: You either successfully plant the C4 or you just nade the @$!# out of it.
Personally I find the nading absolutely stupid (for defenders) in this part of map, because people can just destroy the generator from miles away and there is little you can do about it.
So, I would like if you could be able to repair the generator even if its not fully damaged, to prevent enemy team from nading it from miles away.
I would also like to hear what you people think about this?

Bridge Generator
I like the current system, as it prevents an infinite hold on a generator that isn’t even listed as a main objective. It is still considered a ‘side’ objective. If they made that generator only destroyable by C4 it would need to be made a main objective and change how the timing works on bridge to grant additional time when it is completed(based on their formula for other maps).
Making it C4 only would allow for a very long hold on that point and turn into a meat grinder.
If they made it repairable while damaged but not broken then it changes game mechanics and how many people would actually know you could repair that one generator in the entire game before it broke? It would be like when the EV moved faster on Bridge with more people next to it, but ONLY on bridge. It didn’t get the speed boost on any other map.
Generators are normalized right now, which means they all operate under the same mechanics. Changing one would mean either change them all or a majority of the community would go on not knowing you could repair that one.
I think the real problem is the way people try to defend that generator. You shouldn’t camp the room and pray they all come through like good little children and die to a bushwhacker turret and fletcher bombs. You need to get lines of fire outside and prevent them from getting those line up shots that are so dead to the generator.
I like how that secondary is implemented.

You can delay it. Spawnkill the attackers and don’t let them get past the alley or the red bus.
Uhg. Hell, no, sometimes destroying that generator is the only way to bring it down. However, you can keep them from ever reaching it (or at least reaching it easily). When I run Bush on bridge from the Defenders, I always put my turret up on that roof thing. Actually I put it on the sign on the roof thing so it shoots anyone trying to go through the alley. I also stay up there and try and keep the alley clear (unfortunately you’ll be completely exposed by anyone using the street).
That secondary objective is currently the only one in the game that MUST be destroyed in order to proceed. Its not meant to last long unless the attacking team is getting their asses stomped.
The EV escort on Bridge is maybe a bit too easy for attackers, but it’s kind of a payback for how difficult getting the repair can be sometimes.
What they could do is just add the generator section as an actual stage of the match. I’d dig that.
