Because it is useful at long ranges, especially on classes with no dmg fall off. It needs more tweaking but it definitely serves a purpose. Without it, right click does nothing until you pick sniper. In addition, you force players to play a certain way when its not necessary. XT has a pretty good setup with IS imo.

So again, why should IS be removed?

I actually disagree with prone being needed. It promotes erratic movement and camping which slows the pace of the game down. Would much rather have a dodge, wall kick, or other form of true advanced movement. There is nothing advanced about prone.

Completely agree on the iron-sight. It serves its purpose, so no need to waste time on the subject.

I don’t see a real use for prone myself, but at this point I probably wouldn’t care if it existed just because of how weak body damage is. I still would rather see the effort put into something like you’ve mentioned that could be more widely useful/interesting. The only time I ever found prone useful in a similar game was in ETQW due to the enormity of maps and long hallways, which definitely doesn’t apply to Xt.

the mg system of et was nice.mg only accurate if build up when prone
this way it feels powerfull but not always op.ok it was banned out of some cups :smiley: but…

Apparently you only really used ironsights in revision 22519 (24% of the time, with 6% higher accuracy) mostly with the SMG which was originally given to Phoenix (self-revive medic).

In the last two patches I expect you’ve unbound the button :mad:

tbh i think that there should’ve been stats within september-october timeframe. these would’ve been most accurate ones. 50% of the people named dont even play the game.
