BR-16 vs Stark AR comparison

(vdll) #1

These guns have identical DPS http://dirtybomb.gamepedia.com/Weapons
yet for some reason Stark AR has only 24 bullets per clip (comparing to 27) and it has an awful scope obstructing half of your screen.

Why is this so? Perhaps they were used to have a different dps in the past?

The Stark AR has more range and different recoil/spread than the BR 16.
Look at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yYDiX77THpjA-hImu2eRLio-ayOvGnDEeorZgHAieVQ/edit#gid=490808091 for more detailed information.

Also, the scope is preference, for example i love that scope and prefer it to the BR 16 ironsight.

Interesting, although range looks rather similiar.
What would be the difference in recoil and spread between those two, if I may ask?

(syku) #4

The range is very similar yeah, i was wrong about the spread, its the same for both however the recoil is different(not necessarily worse), if im not wrong the AUG goes more towards the right and the br 16 goes more to the left, i don’t have the numbers right here so dont take it as 100% truth.

Thank you, thats news to me, although it still feells like AUG is down to 8 bursts for no reason (scope magnification is really not that big to count as an advantage worth balancing with smaller clip size).

would be nice if they tried to increase the differences between the two weapons more.

same with Timik & M4

They could use different damage-falloff values for example, like (for example) timik having half the falloff and higher damage per bullet compared to m4 in exchange for slower firerate and smaller spread. Something like this would definitely make them more “unique”.
They shouldn’t be touching the recoils tho, theres enough of counter-the-recoil games already.

Just up the fire rate on the timik a little more and it’ll be fine, it should at least be in the 570-630 range for fire rate.
