Do the bots ever do anything helpful other than buff? Just been watching a solider bot hang around a charge plant location throughout an entire game and it didn’t even try to plant it once. Are the bots just there to fill in for missing players or do they do objectives as well? I’m getting quite confused now in regards to why the game even has bots as they’re completely useless 
Bot AI
It’s not that the friendly AI isn’t good but more than the enemy AI is awesome. There have been numerous times where I’ve had to check to see if I’m still playing offline. I like a solid challenge, so it’s all good.
The friendly AI is horribly retarded and the enemy AI is ridiculously overpowered, sort it out SD!
I’ve actually encoutered bots that run around in circles several times. Like a dog trying to catch its on tail. That moment I actually facepalmed…
… Got killed within the second.

I have seen some strange bot AI activity, but they’re not that horrible.
My biggest gripe with the bot AI is with their logic behind when to stop completing an objective to fight the enemy. I get that they are built to have some level of self-preservation, so if there’s a baddie nearby, they stop what they’re doing to kill said baddie. BUT, when there are 2 or 3 of us supporting, don’t stop fueling the plane or cutting the safe, dammit. We got your back! Also, even if the bot is the last man standing, and they have the obj at 99%, they still stop doing the obj to shoot at baddies.
Really grinds my gears…
It’s really annoying as attacking is harder than defending and having the retarded attacking bots just makes it harder while playing with the amazing defense bots makes it a cake walk? How could this not have been tested??!?!
You can see the trouble with the AI on attack if you look at the scoreboard as it tells you what all their objectives are… Bearing in mind the defence has just one objective (with maybe the side objective of getting a command post). The AI on attack splits itself up far too much, so instead of one cohesive team attacking you get a dribble of cannon fodder for the entrenched defence to pick off.
Take for instance the hacking objective on Refuel…I go as operative so I know something gets done. There’s also another AI operative. One AI assigns itself to protect me. Another sets to protect the other AI operative. A medic assigns revive closest team mate (for which he will cross the entire map, irrespective of where the main objective is). And others will run off and cap command posts.
The AI also seems to have ADD - if by some miracle they do help you clear the objective (i.e. you kill about 5/8 of the enemy), they will then just leave you to it and run off to do other things instead of protect you while you do the objective.
Basically, to win on attack offline requires some kind of cosmic alignment of events and is not consistently reproducible.
