Bored. So made this

(Realirony) #1

Was bored over the weekend. So I took some red mechanic (shop) rags I had and made a Resistance patch for a hoodie. Just tore the rags into strips then fabric glued it on the patch. then stitched the hell outta the ends so it wouldn’t come unraveled. The rags were woven kinda weird so the strips were prone to coming unraveled.

Also had a few old shoes sitting around in my closet. So I threaded one of the rags with the laces to look like the Anger mask. It didn’t turn out how I wanted ( the laces need to be spaced a little better, and have longer lines) but it was just a little bored project to idle away my time with. I’ll have to re-do it if I intend to use it at all >_o

Saw the post of the guy that was customizing a WWE figure to look like The Anger archetype and was a little inspired.

Sorry for being a nerd. :stroggtapir:

Good job with your handycraft, dude

I dig, I dig.

(TheBIG_Lebowski) #5

COOL. Good job dude.

Hmmm I just said the same thing on the android thread… and as much as I want to claim I posted way before you and you copied me, I’m just gonna go with some cosmic twin excuse.

I digs.

Careful, you’ll put all the Brink women out of a job.

Nice stuff.

What Brink women? Ha.

Sweet stuff man! Looks like Home Ec came in handy after all? ;D

(Realirony) #9

lol. not so much Home Ec and more trial and error. I musta stabbed my hands with the needle over 15 times. Felt like I was giving my fingers a tattoo

(Nail) #10

thimbles have exsisted since the first century, always make sure you have the correct tools to do the job

:penguin:

(Linsolv) #11

I dunno, Nail. I was trying to sew a tear in my pants the other day, and sure. I stabbed my thumb once or twice.

But then I also stabbed EVERY OTHER FINGER. So unless I’m gonna wear chain gloves I’m not sure “thimble” is exactly the right answer.

(Nail) #12

thimbles for you then, and glasses, chain mail won’t help, needles pass through the gaps, this ain’t golf

(Linsolv) #13

I wear glasses. :open_mouth:

(Nail) #14

well, you know how to get to Carnegie Hall

(Linsolv) #15

Well, first I’d have to get a plane flight to New York. Then I’d need to hail a cab.

But REALLY first I’d need to get a job so I could afford the plane ticket and cab ride.

()

Have you considered playing the lottery. Seems like you are on a roll =D!

I do my best sir.

As for the thimble, I laugh at protection of many forms. I like to live dangerously, with the likelihood that my fingers could become pin-cushions. It keeps me on my game, when I’m doing this hardcore stitching. aww yea son.

But for reals, I don’t own thimbles, Damnit Jim, I’m a student, not a seamstress.

Protection saves lives. Along with keeping me from paying child support. I’m pro-protection.
