bomber drops a bomb?

ive seen this is MLB carnage canyon, the bomber takes out a biiiiig horizontal door and in some rly cool map where the bomber fly by many times over and eventually destroy the gate, the map was in the coasts of norway or soemthing…

so how the thing can be done?
after securing the secret documents allied bomber bombs the ground, leaving a big hole and revealing an underground bunker

You would basically make 2 script movers, one for the bomb, the other for the plane. The bomb and the plane would share the same path until you want to drop the bomb. Then the bomb would diverge onto a different spline path. As soon as the bomb reaches the end of its path, you trigger function explosives and fx entites for the explosion. To make the crater, you need two func_static entities. One for the area without the hole, one with. You can see how that is done in the fueldump map.

Using a spline path for the bomb, you can give the falling bomb some forward motion as well as falling motion. But you could also do it with a couple of path_corner entities and just drop the bomb straight down.
