bombed.eu – Scene Coverage, Cups, Betting and more

Hey folks,

I want to introduce my new project named “bombed!”.

Aim is to create a European platform for DirtyBomb players… Yes DirtyBomb is still closed Alpha, but time will come when we all can play :smiley: ( I cannot play yet, too )

A lot of the contents that are placed on common game community sites are information about the game itself. Typically players that have played the game for like 2 or 3 hours experienced that information live in game.

The difference between other community-sites and bombed! : Focusing on competition level.

Last years I played some different games on this level but… often I missed a site where I can get all the stuff I wanted.

Latest news about player market, tournaments, related downloads like promods etc.

So I set up a site with some features that came to my mind like:

[li]Post news (surprise)

[/li][li]Create tournaments
[/li][li]A prediction game for tournament matches (not restricted to bombed!matches)
[/li][li]Offer useful downloads
[/li][li]Collect stuff that players need to improve their game experience like noobguides, configtweeks, basic strategies etc.

At the moment bombed! is a one-man-project but I want to change that. So I need your help to enhance bombed!:

Mainly I’m searching for a programmer to expand the site functionality
And a designer cause obviously the current look of bombed! isn’t that good.
bombed! is based on Drupal so basic knowledge of Drupal would be nice

Furthermore bombed! needs editors, forum moderators and cup admins to maintain contents
For now the content will be limited to English language but later on I could imagine to offer localized content on bombed! , too.

at the moment there is nothing but dummy content on bombed.eu :slight_smile:

so you dont miss much if you dont log in :stuck_out_tongue:

i set up the site to see if people are interested at all and maybe get some supporters

but honestly at the moment it doesnt look like that :frowning:

The game isn’t released yet, isn’t even in beta, so there’s not a lot of point at the moment.

Plus, you say you need programmers and designers, so basically you need someone else to make the site for you, doesn’t engender much hope you’ll actually get anything off the ground.

Any reason you’re using Drupal? (clue, check my sig).

formerly i build some little pages with drupal (e.g. for organizing private partys and stuff like that) so im familiar with the handling
otherwise i find that it’s easy to extend -> decrease the disadvantage that my programming knowledge is rather limited

i agree that fact doenst raise hope but if you want “get anytihng off the ground” u have to start somewhere i think

better build your own cms system, php ,css, html5, etc (clue, check my sig). :smiley: sorry kendle :d
we as ocleague also taking in a huge interest supporting dirty bomb into competition as a league :wink:
