Blue skins are bad when team colors are red and blue.

Blue skins are bad when team colors are red and blue. The reasons are obvious.

edit: I play with red and blue player tints on. If you somehow play with it off, I can’t imagine how.

I don’t see any red or blue team !

. . . sorry for your condition?

There are definitely things in-game that are blue to denote friendly and red to denote foe, tracers, healing waves, iff’s, etc.

For some reason skins were done as dark for friendly and light for foe, presumably to make designing them less restrictive due to it being a primary source of monetisation.

So theoretically there shouldn’t really be an issue with skin colour in general, or blue skins specifically, that said if you’re going to make a major theme of it (I’m presuming that all Cobalt skins are blue and that is what this thread is referring to) then it does seem a bit strange to pick a colour that has already been assigned for team identification purposes.

They could have gone with Emerald and a green theme for the ultra-specials, or something else.

However personally I’ve not found it any worse than before, that’s not to say team identification is particularly good at the moment, it isn’t, I just haven’t noticed it being worse.

You guys really somehow disabled red and blue player model glint? Color blindness? Sounds like IFF must be a nightmare.

The red/blue tint is not that opaque, in many situations is easy to miss it entirely.
I’ve been killed sometimes recently because I thought it was a team mate and let them get too close.

I have never seen a red and Blu team neither o.O

(BioSnark) #8

Well, this is what the game would look like if you did.

To be honest the blue/red tint is barely noticeable.
