First time playing game and during play screen turns blue except in some part of room. In the first part of the game. Anybody had this issue???

I thought this was fixed in one of the patches. Make sure you have automatic updates turned on for this game through Steam. Restart Steam, and if a Brink update starts downloading, let it finish and see if the problem still occurs. If it does, then I would delete the folder mentioned here (if it exists).
If it still persists, you may be able to fix it by turning off motion blur and/or high quality post processing (in the advanced video options), or by disabling shadows (in the console, enter: r_shadows 0).
