blue = defending, red = attacking?

I can’t find the post that was made about this a few weeks ago but I would like to confirm this isn’t the case at all at least for objective mode any way.

I’ve been taking note over the last few days and numerous times I am on the red team before the game starts and I find out I am defending, and on the blue side I am attacking. I just remember someone saying blue was always defending and red was always attacking, but it appears to be random and not the case at all.

Not sure if it’s a bug or not, but I thought it was worth noting down @NxA_Noxie, because I have seen moderators or developers telling people otherwise.

EDIT: nvm, you must be talking about the Lobby screen team colours vs the team you ultimately are assigned once you get in game. I feel like this is also inconsistent and doesn’t always reflect with which team you end up on.

Sorry for not answering sooner! @SnakekillerX is correct. It’s easier to tell when you are a spectator in the lobby and the game sets the teams and everyone is red (because they aren’t on your team).

I think we should know what side we’re on before we get in the game any way. It’s objective not stopwatch lol. Pretty sure 90% of people in this game do have preferred defending classes and preferred attacking classes. I know I do

I was just talking to my brother about this game thing a couple days ago.
On bridge I like to attack with nader in my loadout, but I don’t really use her for the defense side so it is a wasted slot.

@rancid actually u do know which side u are on b4 the match starts but only after uve chosen ur mercs, which is kinda ironic. bascially if ur on the top(blue) ur attacking. and if ur on the bottom(red/orange) ur defending. but once u get placed in teams, it locks changing mercs and cards so yeah

Yeah I know, poor choices of words on my part. I meant to say we should know before we choose our mercs*
