Bloom

Does base movement increase the bloom for all roles/body

(Twistedpandora) #2

by bloom do you mean the lighting effect? if so i doubt it will play a big part as its mainly used to help get a realistic camera effect and since brink is not realistic but hyper realistic i don’t think there will be much use of the bloom effect.

hope this is what you meant

He probably means weapon spread/deviation because they call that bloom in halo for some reason

(Wepohn) #4

Ah, yes I meant weapon spread/deviation but bloom was the only word that came to mind at the time.

(brbrbr) #5

i guess he mean DoF-related FX, which blur/shake view slightly when sprinting or quickly rotating.

NO, he means bloom or Spread of the aiming crosshairs/circle used to aim at a target. When you move does it spread (BLOOM) or does it stay the same size. There is a part in a video where the guy is hip-firing and the aiming circle grows the longer he holds the trigger down. Bloom creates an attempt to maintain accuracy with timing shots or not spamming the trigger.

THIS is bloom testing.

Your shots spread more when you walk/run, and more still when you sprint.

They also spread when you sustain fire instead of using controlled bursts.

If you’re in the middle of vaulting over something and trying to line up a headshot with your SMG, expect to miss with more bullets than you hit with, even up close.

If you’re walking forward with the same SMG, and aiming at the same person’s head, at the same range, you should see a significant increase in accuracy.

If you’re standing, then you’ll be even more accurate still.

Any movement affects it, the faster you go, the less you can aim.

Double post! So it wasn’t just me who felt that forum glitch just now.

Nope. I definitely didn’t actually post that twice.
