Block melee mechanic?

So left click is your normal slash while right click is your heavy slash but the middle mouse which is Mouse 3 if you click it, you will do a block that will block an incoming attack. This block will prevent any melee hit or reduce how much damage you will take to incoming bullets, does not work with grenades though. If you block a normal slash, the one who tried to attack you will be stunned for about 3 seconds leaving them vulnerable, but if they use a heavy attack, they will break the block and will stun you for about 2,25 seconds. If you and your opponents both used your heavy attack, you will be in a clash mode where you have to keep clicking the left mouse to break and finish your enemy, if not well you get the rest. The damage reduction is based on what melee you’re using so if you’re using the bat well I’m sorry thats only 1%, pocket knives like Beckill or Stillnotto have 5%, Kukri is 10% and Katana is 25% (still in the works)

Nerf melee even more? Why? In most cases it’s already difficult to close the gap to melee anyone with most mercs at least.
In my opinion the melee hitboxes should be buffed. It’s the worst feeling ever when you manage to sneak up behind someone(not as Phantom) and you simply wiff your hit just because your target had a stroke or something and barely moved out of the way.

I’d like sneaky melee kills from behind, but as of now, if they have more hp, it just ends up you slicing them once with a knife and then pretty much just chasing them around…
Right now I really don’t want to use melee at all even at point blank range unless it’s the cricket bat or a katana.

Hah, there have been so many times I get turned on because I miss a knife simply because the enemy moved by like an inch. I’m still not understanding why knives from behind down down players

Honestly this whole knifing system baffles me. Like why in the hell is there a light and a heavy knife?

I would personally say no to this and anyway my mouse three is devoted to equipping melee not quick strike.

I think that blocking in an fps would be used in 0.1% in melee battles. and melee battles aren’t very common. If anything they could implement something like halo 3 where if both players try to melee at the same time, a block sort of thing happens.

I think it would be interesting if melee kills didn’t appear in the kill feed. It wouldn’t matter in competitive or against members with mics, but it could be a nice touch. - Also, why would you want to nerf something used so little? If you swing first and hit, you should be rewarded: not penalized. - Furthermore, the likelihood of actually killing someone with melee is rare if any of the enemy’s teammates are nearby. Let melee be a little fun: not any more useless than it already is.
