What happened to all of the Blishlock discussions that appeared here and there? Has everyone in the game universally accepted it or are there still opinions people have but lost faith in the game for some time?

They buffed the accuracy and changed the awful ADS animation so it’s pretty good now.

Most of people still wouldn’t equip unless it’s Aura or Fletcher.

Naah I don’t think so. I always run Blishlock Sawbonez, same for the guys I play with. Blish Fletcher is also getting more and more popular.
I’d say Whatsyourdeal is right. The blishlock was always a good rifle but one has to get used to it. Same for me: I hated it when I started DB but look at me now.

Hmm maybe it’s true, it was good all along it just needs a lot of time to get use to. (it is my most used gun so even I should know that :P)

blish definitely reached a level where its an okay smg. But why you’d want to use it over any of the other ones, not sure.
kek - better accuracy, better rof, better DPS
Crotzni - better DPS
Hochfir - afaik lower DPS a bit but better accuracy, better rof, really nasty aimpunch for the opponent
SMG9 - annoying aimpunch and better accuracy
The only areas where blish shines is more frontloaded damage and larger damage/magazine. First one is not very relevant for SMGs, and second one is inferior to better killing potential

That’s what I don’t get then, if people like it now why? It’s statistically inferior to the other’s and considering the areas it shines in it’s not what you would want in situations SMGs specialize in.
So that begs the question, what happened to all the threads about them?

there are two reasons i can think of:
- its okay. why whine when its alright
- its not as dependent on headshots as hochfir/smg9

It still sucks but meh
On Sawbonez and Bushwhacker, you have much better SMG’s to use
On Fletcher and Aura, why would you ever use an awful SMG over a shotgun that can 1 shot people?
For Fletcher I can still see why you would use it on mid-long range maps but on Aura it makes no sense whatsoever. She is a defensive medic that should only kill people that push her health station, which means she will be in a close range fight 90% of the time

It is so weird. Sometimes I am directly at peoples heads and it just does nothing after the first two bullets, basically losing me gunfights I should have won, or would have one if I was using the Crotzni or Smg11. This is probably because the actual spread increase per shot it quite large, but people think it is an accurate weapon because of the low firerate. I feel it might need a slight accuracy buff (5%) to make it a bit more competitive on hipfire rather than DS (which it is verrrrryyy very good at).

Blish is just an awesome supporter SMG because of it’s high dmg per bullet. If the guy you just healed fought with an enemy and the enemy is already wounded the blish is more likely to get that last bit of damage in to kill them.
If they run and you only have the time to get one hit on them before they get in cover those few more points of dmg can decide if they’re dead or not. If you land a headshot that is 12 points more dmg then with the crozni!
The damage per second might be lower but the possible damage per magazine is way higher.

I think the Blishlock could use a range buff.
But the real issue right now is the Hochfir. That thing doesn’t have a bouncing sight, but the spread is extremely unpredictable and the range is too short. I think that it would be good if the Hochfir gets a buff so that it’s a higher mobility/less range M4A1.

Tip: Use it like the Dreiss AR. If you click every time you want to shoot, you will hit EVERY SHOT. It’s insane how I can nearly out-DPS PDP Aimees with Aura from across the map…
Also, the Blishlok is an SMG, for those who didn’t know…
