Blender 2 ET import/export script (UV maps not exporting)

(acQu) #1

So i tried blender with this script here: https://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts/Import-Export/MD3

I am trying to export, but something is wrong with the UV maps.

Made a video showing what i do: https://youtu.be/8JGjdiw8nfA

Can anyone see what might be wrong?

I’m trying to get the exporter to work myself. In blender everything works great, however the texture on the .md3 is complete smudge/uniform colour.
When I import it back into blender it shows up without a UV map.

I don’t think, that the problem is the model, but rather the importer/exporter? It was created for 2.6.9 and I’m using 2.7.7 after all.
However, I remember that it worked when I imported ischbinz’ Tiger tank (md3) into blender. Modified it and exported it as md3 again.

I’ll do some investigating myself and let you know if I find something. If anyone else has an idea, it would be even better.

Found my mistake. Dummy me  Look at minute 1:49: under the texture panel -> mapping, i forgot to assign the “map” option. I think that did it for me.

I somehow want to get a workflow going with the cycles renderer next days, i’ll keep you updated in TWT forums Kemon, if i find something.

Haha, this is fantastic. Two people have the same problem at the same day. We should play the lottery together some time.

Anyway, the above point also fixed it for me, thank you. First Blender model ready and usable in Radiant.
Long way to go from here. I already see a lot of posibilities

I’ll still check the TWT forum though. It’s very nice to see you again and especially to see your Headquarters mod in a video!
I expect great things from you!

Yeap, it will be fun to see how the animations turn out  This is really a funny coincidence ^^
