Well, I guess that’s only a little part of the event. At least I hope so because that’s the least exciting stuff they could have come up with. I don’t know what will happen to the culprit but still.

It’s a shame there’s no actual sleuthing involved, but then again, how would that be implemented. I don’t mind, I’m still interested to see what happens at the end to the killer

Still, what happens when the killer is found? are they then no longer in the game or is it just like “aww you found me lol” and Aimee decides to stay in London because yeah.

edit: right after I hit submit there was a text from the Dirty Bomb team that said that the culprit will get a special loadout card in what is called the “culprit case”

It contains all 9 loadouts for the culprit, damn why did they have to include RNG again. I mean the whole game is RNG based (in terms of loadouts), at least make these special events not RNG based. That completely kills it for me, it would have been so awesome with a determined event card.

Ok, let’s just load up the worst possible card.

Thing also is, a lot of mercs have a bit of debate over what card is best. For example I love the SMG-9 on almost any merc that gets it and I would give up some good augments to have it. Then on Fragger I prefer the K121 over the M4 or the timik. I am certain plenty of people would much prefer the M4.

So yes, there is RNG involved. However, it may not even be a merc you own or like. Just the one a lot of people used. I personally could care less if Proxy or Aura shows up as the culprit as I have zero desire to ever play them. Same thing with Fletcher. At that point whether or not it is RNG doesn’t much matter to me.

Honestly I think one of the better things they could do with this event is allow you to buy more than 1 event case with cycles. Limiting it to one case is the painful part imo.

The other thing is, because there’s RNG with loadouts. You could spend $50 and not get the loadout you want, but someone who grinds some credits could get it from the store

You can earn cycles with credits. You buy the event case with cycles. You can only buy one case based on the messages above.

You generally can’t just buy event cases though. In past event you either received them randomly or you would get a single event case when buying a bundle of other cases. so $50 as you mentioned would at most be 2 additional event cases. This is a discussion about the event and not other cases, so if you have some RNG complaints you can talking in one of the existing ones.

I don’t know if they will do the same thing this event, but where you can ONLY get 1 case by using cycles I really want to say no you can’t get them with cash. Time will tell and this is speculation anyways. :confused:

I more meant that with all cases. Besides, as you said, what is the “best” loadout for one person might not be the best for another. Granted there are a few that are, I think, considered the worst across the whole community because of their augments, it doesn’t mean they are unuseable.
