I think it’s fine if there’s stuff for those who are willing to go the extra mile. Lantern wasn’t that hard to get, snowman was, people who got that earned it. There seems to be a whole lot of stuff on that lé telefone of Aimee’s, so I imagine no one whose gonna play at all leaves emptyhanded

I fucking love this shit and all you guys who criticize this event needs to get your heads outta your ass. Im usually the first to come and criticize the dev on their bad choice, well i can also tell when they do good stuff. We complained about the shitty system of 0.3% rng spe edition and they changed it. They listened. With this all the player can be almost sure to get a special edition. We gotta give them credit this time

You can earn cycles with credits. You buy the event case with cycles. You can only buy one case based on the messages above.

You generally can’t just buy event cases though. In past event you either received them randomly or you would get a single event case when buying a bundle of other cases. so $50 as you mentioned would at most be 2 additional event cases. This is a discussion about the event and not other cases, so if you have some RNG complaints you can talking in one of the existing ones.

I don’t know if they will do the same thing this event, but where you can ONLY get 1 case by using cycles I really want to say no you can’t get them with cash. Time will tell and this is speculation anyways.

Yes, and if you read my entire post I specifically said: This is a discussion about the event and not other cases, so if you have some RNG complaints you can talk in one of the existing ones.

Event cases are an exception because it is more about the skin then the loadout for a lot of people and you generally get them without spending cash.

I don’t know how that is relevant, do you think you’ll get the loadout you want out of a 9 loadout case ? You can of course, but let’s say Vassili is the culprit, if they gave the MO11, obviously 99% of the people would be satisfied. So you have the right to prefer RNG for various reasons such as making some loadouts rarer, but your argument is completely irrelevant.

Vassili kinda does have only one best card so not the best example. But Ardez mentioned he prefers K-121 over M4, even though most people would probably say that Fragger with M4 and Simeon is the best card

Almost no merc has more than 2 good loadout cards, so this is a good example. Even if it satisfies half of the people it doesn’t change my point, it’s still better than satisfying 1/9 people. And I’m not even saying they should or shouldn’t give us the best loadouts, I’m just saying that to point out that what the other guy said was not relevant.

Since you didn’t find my example good, let’s talk about what happened before, the Phoenix Event. Phoenix is the merc with the most viable loadouts in the whole game, that should be hard to satisfy people right? What is my favorite loadout for Phoenix? C41. What did we receive? KE81. Was I satisfied? Damn yeah, of course! It was not my favorite loadout, but it was a good one, with a nice skin, what more could I ask for ? I know they’re not gonna give away unique loadouts for the best cards in the game just like that! But giving away viable ones, without an RNG factor, is already great! I consider the Phoenix event as the best event we ever had, and seeing that we probably will never have that again is so disappointing. I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to find someone who didn’t like the Phoenix Event. So yes you can satisfy basically everyone, but a 9 loadout case is not a great way for it.

IMHO, every merc has 3 best loadout, one for each primary they have access to. Then it’s down to augments. About the only mercs this rule doesn’t really fit are Sparks (because the 3 machine pistols are very similar to each other), Phantom (depending on what melee you prefer), Rhino (as far as I can tell all 3 shotguns are very similar), Redeye (you could make the argument that the PDP is the best primary he can have), and Vassili (because it seems that the MOA is better pretty much in every way than the FEL-IX).
