Black Surfaces with lightmapscale

(Rought) #1

HI!

I’ve already posted this error, but in the other forum of enemy territory, so I try here because it seems more sensefull here…

My problem is, if i give my worldspawn a lightmapscale of 0.1 (even 0.5) some of the surfaces are very dark…looks a little bit strange and now I tried to give some func_groups a smaller lightmapscale and it worked…til now :frowning: I think I changed a bit too many of the funcs…it looks incredible…

I’ll post some screens if you don’t know what I mean…

I’m using the GtkRadiant 1.4 with the default q3map2 of it…

EDIT: I’m not sure if it is the same problem like here: http://www.splashdamage.com/index.php?name=pnPHPbb2&file=viewtopic&t=7135

Try the latest release of Q3Map2.

Hi back…

I tried the latest release (2.5.14)…:
Just look at this picture…

I really tried a lot of things, but I just don’t know any possible way to fix it :disgust:

If i delete my “lightmapscale”-entry there are no lightbugs, but the map looks boring, simply too old!

Hm. Are you using any lightstyles or ambient/minlight?

You could try the development build, available here:

Hi!

Yes, I use two lights with a _style-key and I have set the _minlight-key to “10” I think…But if I delete the minlight nothing changes…so it could only be the lightstyle…But at first I try your dev.exe…I’ll report later or tomorrow…thx for your help…

I just wanted to tell everybody out there who has such an error:

Delete (or reduce if you have more than one set) your _style - parameters…if you have them set
