Bitdefender and Dirty Bomb's Anti Cheat, Cannot Whitelist

(Defaultsound) #1

Hi,

So I have into run into problems when starting Dirty Bomb, and from reading, it seems Bitdefender seems to be the problem. However, it is in fact the Anti Cheat causing Bitdefender to fault the Dirty Bomb exe. Since Black Cipher doesn’t exist in the game directory, therefore I cannot white-list it. Hence Bitdefender causes conflicts. Only solution is to disable the Bitdefender Firewall. Ideally I would prefer not to disable my firewall every time I wish to play Dirty Bomb. Hopefully this could be fixed in the future. Just a heads up.

Problems with Bitdefender firewall have existed for more than year and a half so I don’t have my hopes up for it being fixed any time soon.

That is true, but I figured it might help highlighting the issue.

I’m sure I’ve seen blackcipher folder somewhere. Give it another look.
Not at home right now, otherwise I would try to find it.
Anyways, because I’ll more than likely forget I posted this after few hours, I suggest you contacting support, they might give you the location of the NGS folder.

…or reply here in a 4 hours, I should be at home by that time.

It’s in your DB folder:
\Dirty Bomb\Binaries\Win32\BlackCipher
