with bak u dont need to decompile. decompile is a bad thing, and the *.bak is essentially your lost map, with a new name. just rename it. but this is written already by others in your other post about the same problem.
What is a nog converter?
Is there anyway to save a lightmap from a bsp or save your lightmap from some other file?
I think the ‘g’ was a typing error, as he probably meant he had no converter.
Ehr, W:ET mostly writes out its lightmaps to .tga files if you start the lighting compile phase with -export.
However, I wouldn’t see how you could use a lightmap from another file… Each map is pretty much unique and so are its light maps.
