@RazielWarmonic
Okay. I played nearly 20 games today. And It was as bad as it was never before. The community are literal dicks most of the time.
Out of 20 games I joined today, 15 games with the opposite team having 2+ more people than the team I joined. This should never happen. Period. The game needs a forced balance everytime a team has 2+ people more than the other. Instant switch of one or more players.
“But you can just leave the game” - Yeah, but I don’t want to have another loading time, deploying time and probably another unbalanced game! And one player can switch. And if they can’t, they get a forces switch.
It’s not that hard to make such a system.
P.S. Always great to get flamed on by some lvl 95 guy who plays a 6vs3 and shits on 3 lvl 1-5 players after you ask him to switch.
Big part of DBs community are just dicks. We need a forced player number balance ASAP.
I agree 110% - People who leave games and leave their former team mates down a man are horrible. Total dicks.
‘I’m an entitled little gen y twat, who doesn’t believe that I should ever lose, so I’ll quit a game if my opening route doesn’t go perfectly or the game isn’t personally catering to my personal ideas regarding game balance’
Is the real problem. And good luck finding a game that can stop the problem flooding the world today.
^ some people have to leave the game for emergencies. Its not a game if you are forced to play.
And we’ll never know the true %'s regarding who leaves to stop little timmy from ruining the rumpus room and who leaves because they’re an entitled little ********.
It boggles my mind that this game doesn’t have some kind of team auto balance but there’s tons of reasons why people leave early, especially when it’s possible to hotjoin a game.
I hotjoined a game on Underground yesterday with 5 minutes left and it was terrible spawn camping. I have never seen the defenders push to the bottom of the escalators before but that’s what was happening. Why should I stick around for the next 5 minutes when I can just leave? Honestly I don’t know why anyone was still playing as the attackers.
This game really does need a team auto balance and vote team shuffle needs a rework.
It’s almost like people have lives outside a video game and have real life stuff to do. Instant force switching would be idiotic and a horrid excuse of a fix for team balance. You’re playing casual. If you don’t want to worry about people leaving stop being anti social and go play a pug.
The problem isn’t players leaving it’s quickjoin sometimes not putting new players into an ongoing match and sometimes a slot getting bugged out.
The best way I can see this being added is this.
If Player Difference is 2 less than the enemy team, a 30 second wait for more players to join, then balancing occurs based on elo. Those swapped over are given a 20% credit bonus as a compromise.
If that’s indeed the most common cause then judging by the frequency of people leaving/going afk it seems that most of the EU population lives in actual fucking warzones…
People are free to leave whenever they want. But after people left the game has to balance it by force since the players are unable to do so in the most case. Cause prescious win!
don’t worry @Jostabeere ill join you again if you want!
Ill make it abit more interesting and see if I can swap teams like 4 times!!
Part of the issue as well, that I haven’t seen anybody mention, is when a few players drop from a team then some new players will usually end up on the team fairly quickly. However, it takes so long for them to connect to the server, choose mercs, choose loadouts and then have to go through the countdown that by the time they are in the game it’s nearly over or there is very little chance.
Sometimes I go to switch teams and can’t because the other team has 2-3 players in the lobby

All 3 games in a row today looked like this.
Oh and look at the great execution game:
Fucking matchmaking decided to start it like this.

And end like this.

Atleast I got a damn “Sorry about that stomp” after the game…
I just don’t get it. People give a flying fuck about balance. Why not just forcing it?
Wish I’d taken a screenshot of the Stopwatch I played last night, where it was fine the first half, and then in the second half when my team didn’t immediately get the first objective the drops started happening. We weren’t even doing poorly before people started dropping, and had forced them to take 13 minutes to get their objectives so had plenty of time.
Most of the game ended up being 3v7, and the other team was having a blast camping our spawn. The other two that were on my team at the end had joined in the last couple minutes, and I think my team cycled through 10 players during the match.
Only reason I didn’t drop myself was because I wanted my 14,000 points and also the time accrued for my trinkets.
Why should my hard work carrying the team be ruined because someone on the other team decided to ragequit or whatever, and I get balanced to the losing team?
That’ll make me ragequit instead. Fuck that. If you’re losing, just lose, the next match will be rebalanced.
Instead the game should have a surrender option for stopwatch, so people don’t have to wait for 15 minute holds.
Most imbalanced matches happen because one team has a bunch of noobs on it. The player count is even, but the skill level gives one team no chance. (or the other team has like 3 MLG tryhards)

I can understand the frustration, in the same boat really, but the truth is it IS a pub. There’s really no reason to not have autobalance, or care about wins and losses. Personally I’d rather that particular stat be scrapped since it really doesn’t matter.
No, I only ever play pubs. I don’t give a crap about your competitive agenda. No stupid auto balances mid-round. I had enough of that in Battlefield that I stopped playing that game.

Your hard work and your earned points get lost if you switch teams? Something new.
Even a bad team can somehow win if they have an even number of opponents. Happened often enough. But you won’t win a 3vs5 or a 5vs7 against a similar skilled or stronger team. And getting spawnraped or instantly killed in exec isn’t fun. It’s not about losing. It’s about blatant stomping and spawnraping.

@Watsyurdeal Pubs are still far more than the half of the game. And just because it ain’t competitive, it can be unbalanced? Nope, sorry, you’re wrong.[/quote]
How am I wrong when you’re expecting balance in a game setting where anyone from any skill level can join?
That’s like mixing people who play Soccer for fun in their neighborhood park and people who play professionally.
It will not matter what team the pro is on, he will always be a dominating force.
The same applies here, the primary reason the people who should be playing competitve, aren’t, is because it takes forever to find a match. Of the 20 times I’ve qued for a match since the Dickens update I’ve only gotten 5 matches, the rest of the searches went on for 5-15 minutes and still nothing. So I go to play on a pub.
And this is the thing, there’s only so match pre game balance and a shuffle can do.
Ultimately whatever side the top players in the game are on, is going to be big factor in the how the game goes. A team is 2 players down, 4v6, a shuffle occurs, the top player is swapped over, and now he/she will likely do the same work for the team and be the sole reason that team wins.
So, there really is so much that gets accomplished here.
I stand by my statement in another thread, where I say that a proper tutorial is VERY much needed.

Always enjoyable to get called out by braindead idiots such as yourself who connect with 30 seconds left on the match and have no clue what actually happened during the match. The match in question was shuffled FOUR times and every single time I was put on the other team.

YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.
