Better Record and Better Performance but Lower Rank

During Pre-season I went 5/0/5 in ranked and I was placed into Gold 5. I believe I was around level 12-15 when I did my placements.

Fast forward to yesterday, I’m level 27 and way better than I used to be. My record is 6/1/3 in preliminaries and even in games I lost I had respectable scores. Yet I got placed into Silver 3.

Did I miss something? Anyone care to explain how this might have happened? Did ranking change somehow?

Bronze got re-added as starting point. Think of your old rank minus a whole category rank. So you placed a bit better I’d say.
