I’m also in agreement that the martyrdom is terrible. Especially in ranked. Plenty of times I’ve had the chance to use it in ranked but can’t because there’s usually a team mate or two standing on top of me.

Yeah, well I would agree martyrdom is the worst, potential teamkill in ranked and your only gonna get a couple lucky kills on people to close or low health enemies, but it’s not like nader is bad, she kinda gets it as an extra, they could take it away and she would still be good.
Best: Fragger’s Grenade. It can easily destroy a few people next to a health station and it works surprisingly well in 1v1s.
Worst: Conc Grenades. It’s not that they’re bad, I just feel so guilty using them. Thankfully, they are getting a nerf so this shouldn’t as big of a problem from now on. Still waiting on those EMP nades though.
I really hope we don’t get more things that cause the EMP effect. Bad enough trying to play a deployable merc with phantom around

NO no no no no… Frag grenade is nerfed… too situational to use. Doesn’t work well with a medium tank with slow movement speed.
Well like I said, half the time the IR just out right bugs out on me. (maybe is a bug I’m experiencing on my end?) But I’ll use IR and it will highlight some people making them completely white, as it should but then some new enemy walks on screen and they are pitch black blending into the background, the only thing I can make out is the weapon usually.
I assumed other people must have been having the same issue, but if it worked correctly for me I’d be much more likely to use it.
Best: Saw’s med packs
Worst: Saw’s med packs when people refuse to pick the fucking things up

Best: HB sensor but I might just think like that because I’m a sniper main 
Best: Mechanic/Engineer (without these we would never win is my reasoning, and YES, it counts as an ability on their bios so I’m counting it here…)
Worst: Probably a match up between snitch and broken until Tuesday Sticky bombs…
Best: Arty’s Artillery. Scary noise, lots of havoc (especially with Explodydendron), pretty low cool down, can be stacked. Can be used for killing, denying an area for a couple of seconds or slowing down the enemy. With sufficient map knowledge line of sight is rarely needed and it can be called down from a safe location.
Worst: Martyrdom.
I’d say most effective ability is thunders grenade. But in same time it is worst, because I dont like to get flashed. I have too bright monitor and dark room. It’s actually painful to get flashed multiple times in short period of time. I would prefer black color in flash effect.
Most uneffective ability is Artys airstrike. It barely makes any damage to EV. People can just circle around bomb site or even trickjump trough it with right timing. They will see red marks on the ground too early to actually get killed. There is blind spots everywhere and you have to know them if you want use airstrike effectively. And worst of all is that you have to stop and aim, it makes you a easy target. But in same time it is best ability, because it somewhat demonstrate realistic airstrike weapon. I just hope it would make more severe impact, like destroying buildings and creating craters to ground.

Arty is one of the best mercs with one of the best abilities.

Biased opinion: Best: Sawbonez Medpacks
Worst: Martyrdom (yes, as much as I love how fun it is, I play medic also and have been caught in friendly fire martys)

Eh. Phantom is a pain to play. The EMP field is basically the only thing I like about him. If they implemented an EMP nade with a similar cooldown as Stoker’s molotov, I think that’d be reasonable.
EMP weapons/effects is something that SD has not messed with all that much so there’s room for maneuvre.

Well I mean conc grenade is the best ability in the game right now, aside from medic abilities, but they make up for that in weaker combat abilities.
In ranked the worst is proxy mines. Friendly proxy’s always want to put mines near my aura stations.
