Best Medic?

(FeralFlame) #1

I want to see the communities opinion on who the best medic is. I personally think Sparks is, but many of my friends side with Sawbones and Aura

(Mrarauzz) #2

Sparks is OP OP…she’s fast and revives from Mars yadadadada

(Snack Toxin) #3

It’s all subjective to the player in question, in my opinion.

I prefer Sawbonez and Phoenix because I can provide healing on the fly and not worry about anchoring a healing station in one spot.

I can’t comment about Sparks since I have not put a single second into using her.

Enemy Sawbonez and Sporks.

(Ardez1) #5

Sparks, played right, is a god.

(BananaSlug) #6

idk aura is great at healing while defending or just making checkpoints for attakers
sawbonez is great at healing assaults that are rushing
sporks… great at healing herself can revive from people without any risk and can heal teammates
phoenix is weaker, he can heal multiple targets at once but the heals are bad and he still have long cool down, but the self revive sometimes saves the game

soo idk it just depends on the situation

(SereneFlight) #7

Whoever you like to play.

(Jostabeere) #8

There is no best medic. All have their up-, and downsides.
-Aura defends best
-Sawbonez is the most offensive one
-Peenix is a more mobile but aquishy Sawbonez
-Sparks MLGs best around and doesn’t heal people but revives them

(tominatorx) #9

I prefer Sawbonez but it all depends on your playstyle tbh.

I would argue that Phoenix’s faster movement and instant heal makes Phoenix more offensive than Sawbonez and outweighs the 10hp difference. Furthermore when dealing with noobs the pulse heal can be more useful than packs on the ground that never seem to get picked up.

If they ever reduced the heal rate penalty on large med packs perhaps then I would accept Sawbonez as the most offensive but right now it’s okay as it provides a niche for Phoenix.

As it is all medics have their place.

I have to agree about Phoenix, his heal isn’t all that good but his self revive allows for some clutch gameplay. But imo Sawbonez isnt a better assault then Phoenix. Phoenix can deliver the heals without the possibility of an enemy picking up a Med-Pac. But the heal he despense is weak but it get enough health to send the teamates back into the fight. Sawbones has one major disadvantage and that is the fact some people seem to avoid the health packs xD. People for what ever reason seem to mistake it for landmines and just leave it on the ground till someone with common sense comes along and picks it up. Either way just my thoughts

(darlingClaymore) #12

Id say phoenix and sawbones, I liked them a lot over other medics. Sawbonez is a tough target, while phoenixs toughness comes from his speed/hp ratio which is high.

(RyePanda) #13

Really depends on the situation. Sparks is the best for pure revives and a great complement to any other medic, Sawbonez is the best mobile healer and still can fight pretty well, Aura is the best stationary healer, and phoenix, is… well… he can heal himself quickly and teammates in the middle of combat, but he’s probably the worst.

(darlingClaymore) #14

worst, kek.

(thoroughPistachio) #15

There is zero room for discussion, until she’s fixed, Sparks is by far the best medic. She can revive safely, heal, and one shot many champs from across the map or up close with her severely overtuned “healing” weapon.

(WaffleMonster) #16

sawbonez is great all round, sparks is op, aura is great on defense, phoenix is just inferior to sawbonez.

Aura is a defence merc. She is somewhat hard to use in attack trying to reclaim her heal station and move it from one corner of battlefield to another just to heal one or 2 players. So it ends with heal station sitting in safe place behind a corner… with a bunch of people getting healed. Just drop a mine there, or grenade, or molotov, … and you kill most of them and may be survive. She doesn’t really have good weapons and her hp is a big downside too.

Sawbones has good weapons, good hp and good medpacks… which don’t heal him well. So low hp sawbones will take long to restore his hp and that’s very critical. He also is the slowest medic, so his team mates have more chances to die before he reaches them to help.

Sparks has worst weapons, worsk hp and worst med packs. REVIVR is all she is about. Help teammates with REVIVR, kill enemies with REVIVR, heal yourself with med packs. If your aim isn’t good, Sparks is useless, cause her other weapons are crap, and her medpacks without direct hit are worth nothing… especially for Rhino, Fragger and Thunder who eat her med packs for breackfast, lunch and dinner and stay hungry.

Best medic all around is Phoenix. Good speed, good weapons, healing ability that can heal multiple allies in area and heal himself with same rate. And ability to self-revive. He works well both in offence and defence and does well in battle on his own.

But we all know there is another awesome medic in this game. It is [F2P]Skyhammer. This guy will never let you down. Forget about those traitors who leave you die. He will follow you and try to revive you under enemy fire, on train ways and in the gas tunnel and drop an ammo bag on your body so you don’t feel pain.

lol no

The main issue with phoenix is his healing power over time. Once you’ve sent of a healing pulse (which doesn’t even heal some mercs to full), you’re stuck on a cooldown. With sawbonez you can drop medpacks on the ground and then feed allies with them when needed. Overall his healing power is superior.

In terms of combat, both are extremely similar with phoenix coming out slightly on top because of the kek however sawbonez extra resiliance is pretty massive as a medic.

As Sawbones you drop med packs to each players. As Phoenix you heal all at once. Yes sawbones is better to heal a couple Rhinos to full HP, but what if you need to heal 3, 5, 6 players and repeat that in 15-20 seconds? Whose cool down is better in that case? While Sawbones gives med packs left and right, Phoenix already healed his patients and himself to certain level and shoots enemies. Sawbones heal potential is superior with 2-3 high HP mercs. Phoenix’ healing potential grows with amount of players nearby.

You are relying on people being close to you which alot of the time is just not the case and in situations where it is all it takes is a single moly or some other explosives to kill you all. Bunching up in this game is generally a bad idea. In the majority of situations, sawbonez is just superior.
