The Real Container City

No wonder the Security are so concerned about what the Resistance is doing in Container City.

US Navy plans self-building floating fortresses
Swimming, stacking ISO containers: Just add SEALs

Iconoclastic Pentagon paradigm-mangler boffins at DARPA have done it again, unveiling plans for cunning floating modules which could be tipped off cargo ships out at sea and then drive about and snap themselves together to form floating offshore bases.

The new DARPA plan is called Tactically Expandable Maritime Platform (TEMP)
Yeah, baby! The rest of the article can be found here. I love it when the setting of a game makes me see and think of the game in real life.

I’m not trying to go off topic (o.k. maybe a little) but is Just cause worth it? I’m thinking about getting it for ps3 because the demo was hella fun.

yes, the sandbox aspect of the game is perfect imo, for example the parachute/grapple combo is just a pleasure to use once you get the hang of it. the handgun aspect of the game could be stronger, but is fun.

few tips:

  • you don’t get xp from killing enemies and usually end up with less ammo than you started with, so most of the time there’s no real need to fight if you don’t want to.

  • there’s no need to 100% towns/military bases if it’s not a place you’ll want to extract to in the future. collectibles are easy to find because of the sensor in the top left corner, but finding all the destructibles can feel a little tedious sometimes.

i had to resist the urge to put spoilers here because so much awesome stuff has happened in the game, but there are tons of usermade videos on youtube.
