Beat Keys?

Hey was on twitch today and the key I got for my mate doesnt work on his steam. Does any1 else have this problem?
ps or does any1 have spare keys lying around? absolutely love this game and trying to get as many people as possible on it. Im from oce and even playing us servers is enjoyable
