A pixel-friend from www already converted beach. It rocks like hell and he did very good.
But he will never release it and thats good!
Noone needs beach for ET. 
It seems some people are not able to do a level for themselfs.
I think the sample-maps are fot testing and learning only. Using them to rip the map is a shame for the person and noone should download them.
Sorry but if someone would try to convert my maps i would get angry. :banghead:

dude, dont listen to what idiots like fiesling have to say, its obvious you know how to make your own map if you can convert it. and yes, people do need beach for ET, thats why so many people ask for it. Just make the map, have fun creating it, and release it, many people will love you for it. If you dont want to play it online, dont join servers playing it! Its so simple. And its not like its going to be played non stop like some people here are saying, its less popular than it used to be, so it wont overrun servers. New maps such as the great rhine bridge map havent flooded servers yet either. So just finish the map and release it, dont let this ignorant people try to say stuff to you to change your mind.

about the eula if you have mp_beach then that would say to me you would have had rtcw installed to obtain the beach.map

All the same which the people say here, the map is one of the best RTCW maps ever and should absolutely are converted.

I just don’t like it then people take the maps from other people change them a bit and let themself celebrate and take all the credits.
Some guy at id/gray matter made this one and put a lot of work into it.
So i think its lame to add some team-doors and release it new.
btw: I’m not alone with my opinion. Many people don’t like it then people rip maps.
So i think he should do a comlplete new map on his own and get all the ladies.

just give Id/Graymatter credit add converted by in the credits and there you go.
I am a mapper mostly for EF but if someone else converted on of them to another game hay great just make sure you mention me somewhere in the credits. other than that most of the rest of this is like a board meeting to deside what kind of sandwich to have for lunch. 
post the map or dont but lets not whine about it.

Fiesling, please ask yer friend to realese that version he made as i’m still learning and had to loose some of the lights, also can not script to save my live, so there are no obj atm,
Also got some kinda problems with shadows casting over the main bunker???
Anyway atm the map is for lms only (best gametype anyway ) but WE DO NEED MP_BEACH for E.T

yeah really just post it and give grey matter credit and then give yourself credit for the conversion. its not like they will take legal action if you give them credit.

Lol that was naive.
If they take legal action or not is hard to say, but I bet you that crediting them for the map wont help one singel bit. It’s likely to never go so far as legal action, but threatening the server admins to take it down is highly possible.
