"Be more objective"; two star challenge, difficulty set to "hard"

Has anyone accomplished this challenge under difficulty set to “hard”? I finished every other “two star” challenge, but this seems to be almost impossible. I’m level 18 and I pimped my character and weapon to fit this challenge, but the furthest I got was a " 3% hack" with the Operative.

Best times: HE charge planting/exploding and changing to Engineer; 8:50 min left.
Repairing the genarator; 4:50 min left.
Hacking the door mechanism; allways running out of time.

The enemy KI hunts you down like the whole construction is made out of glas. They are allways !!!exactly!!! where you are. They are allready one guy more(5) than your team(4), but it seems, there are at least 8-10 of them.

every other two star challenge took me 3-6 tries, but “be more objective(two star)” took, me till now, at least 30 tries.

Any suggestions?

Apparently the bots get better as you level up, so using a lower level char makes it easier.

Yeah. Many people have claimed that doing it on a new char is much easier. And the unlocks are for all characters so once you have it on one all have it.
Someone else said that once you hit 20 your teammates are a lot better too. I haven’t tested this at all though. I did the challenges early before I started the camaigns or MP just to get the unlocks.

It is very challenging with a high level character, although I have done it with a 20, an 17 and a 1 level. I did it with a 3 level last night… when you start hacking RUN around the command post do a loop back towards the hack and shoot the bot-engineer that WILL be there. Then start hack and run the loop again. Also, if you get downed you MUST take a leap of fate and wait for your team mates to revive you…if you respawn the AI automatically removes your hack. (in my experience)

I never cheat, but thanks.

I used a new char now. 3rd try, done. Even though it was still quite challenging. But with level 18 or higher its only for the pros, I won’t try it again with a likely level, its just too frustrating. I’ve lost almost a whole day(24 hours) by doing so.

At least I’m done now, thanks for the suggestions, I’m a free man again.

Does it matter if your average gameplay difficulty is set to “hard”, or does the challenge mode only orient itself on your character level?

It scales in difficulty and so is always technically “hard”. Also, with a 20 level Engineer/Operative I went through 2 Star in one try last week. Later on, if you are just killing time in between waiting for friends to sign-in, you may find Be Objective to be a lot easier now that you already beat it. That’s what I’ve found. Now you will have all attachments.

i did this with a level 1, quite easy if u rush the HE, take time with the engiee, and just avoid bullets and get luck w/ hack.

I personally found Be More 2 star to be harder than Be More 3 star, mostly because of the location of the Hack objective. In the 3star, the repair objective is basically inside their spawn, but at least they cant undo the progress on that.

The important fact for newbies like me(technically spoken we all are newbs to this game, but you know what I mean) is, that the “challenge mode KI” adopts to your rank. They should have mentioned that in the “handbook”, since now, I had to accomplish the level 2(star) “be more objective challenge” with a dummy char. The problem is, I can’t achieve that with my, by now, level 19 char as well. Would I have known that, I would have tried this challenge much earlier in my main chars “career”. Its only cosmetic, since I have all the weapons and attachments, one can achieve, but I would’ve liked to accomplish everything with my main char, since I’m a completist(if that’s the word?).

I hear you. Whenever a game has a Challenge or Training Mode I always do that first and try to get all core mechanics down before I look to enter either a multiplayer or campaign. So I did Parkour And Escort 3 Star and Be Objective and Tower 1 Star before trying out a match.

I’ve yet to see video footage of anyone beating this challenge with a level 20 character twice in a row, Let alone any footage of it being done on 2 or 3 stars with a level 20 just once.

If anyone tries to tell you that you’re doing it wrong, and that they easily beat it with level 20 characters whenever they want to, they are full of crap. True story.

^ er…I did it last week with my level 20 Engineer/Operative. 2 star & 3 star. Light body kross smg + bolgo machine pistol. Was it hard. Yes. Impossible, no. There are leader boards that blow me away so guys are way up there with 20 level.

I’m sure you did, and sure they are. But, twice in a row on level 20? That doesn’t get done easily.

I think you know that I don’t mean to insult you, nor do I mean to take anything away from those who are proud that they beat this challenge. I’m just saying that the AI in this game is ridiculous and a bit retarded.

Yes, I’ve beat it. Several times, in fact. Even on level 20. That doesn’t mean that I’m just gonna all of a sudden forget and forgive the broken AI.
On level 20, 2-star, hacking objective, there are three retarded things that you HAVE TO DEPEND ON to succeed in the challenge…

  1. That the enemy doesn’t gun you down as you plant the Hack box and dash for cover
  2. That the enemy doesn’t chase you around the corner and gun you down before the unusually speedy hack is complete
  3. That the enemy doesn’t continuously remove your planted hackboxes, should you need to respawn while you have one planted
    …because you really can’t depend on your AI teammates to have your back.

What annoys me is that none of those three things have squat to do with personal skills, tactics or strategy. It’s just pure chance. The best you could do is increase your chance of being lucky, since you REALLY CAN’T DEPEND ON YOUR AI TEAMMATES.

Offensive AI is broken.
Why is it broken? I don’t know, but it is.

I dominate in multiplayer (using my level 20 operative) to the point where I kill everyone on the enemy team multiple times before I’m incapacitated and even than I dominate until I’m revived and dominate some more, but I have not been able to beat be more objective 2star.
