Battle of Wolken

(.Chris.) #1

OK thought I would let you all know of my Wolken maps and whats the deal with them.
Well if i can get them all finished they will be a total of 4 wolken maps. Each maps offers something different from the others in terms of gameplay but all have something in common, the fact they are in the land of Wolken.

Wolken is made up of various islands and each island may have a different climate of it’s neighboring islands, making Wolken a strange place to live and fight in. However these islands aren’t floating around in some grand sea, oh no, they are floating in what seems to be clouds but it was soon found out that these clouds are dangerous as there is immense pressure contained beneath the surface.

Right here are some brief discriptions of each map.

Wolken 1 First encounter

Allied forces already have unearthed what seems to be and Axis stronghold in the southern area of Wolken, according to Allied intelligence the site holds a large supply of ammunition which if obtained would prove useful over the coming months. However it would seem the site is Heavily fortified so a strategic plan is needed in order to breach the area and capture the Axis supplies and escape with them in one piece.

Progress: alpha stages

Wolken 2 Eagles Nest

Allied forces have finally discovered the whereabouts of the Axis air base where they have been launching their attacks onto the over stretched Allies. It is important that the Allied forces must knock out this facility if they are to have any real chance of winning the Battle of Wolken. The only real problem is that the majority of the air base is located inside a mountain which doesn’t seem easily impregnable.

Progress: Beta 1 (private)

Wolken 3 Axis Strike

After the embarrassing defeat in the outer regions of Wolken, Axis forces plan to attack and Allied controlled area where Axis intelligence have
indicated that Allied forces have gathered information about how to get out of Wolken and return home. The Axis are planning to steal the
documents from the Allied controlled region of Wolken and escape with these documents by any means possible.

Progress: Beta 3 (public)

Wolken 4 Final Battle
After months of fighting both the Allied and Axis forces have found the key to getting back home to Earth, the only snag is that it requires that you bring together two artefacts in one of the temples left behind by the inhabitants of Wolken and each army has a piece each. High command on both sides see a truce as out of the question so a final showdown will have to do in order to end the extraordinary Battle of Wolken.

Progress: None

OK that was pretty long post but I hope its got you intrested in the maps,
if you want to find out more about Wolken and to find full set of screenshots pop on over to my site @ http://www.wolken.gamersdatabase.com/

Wow, that does look interesting, very original idea from the normal maps we are seeing. Can’t quite make up my mind whether or not I like the idea of different climates, but all the same, can’t wait to play these maps.
