Batch compiling

(Valhue2) #1

I would like to know if it would be possible to set up a .bat file to run the various compile programs. Now i know how batch compiling works, Im just wondering if it works for Q3 (i have some background from designing for Half-Life).

If this is not possible, then comparitively speaking, what is the best program that would give the designer (mainly me) the broadest options available? I have heard of Q3ME, but are there any other standalone programs out there that would grant me these things? (I dont want to keep using GTKradiant to compile my maps, not healthy in the long run).

Thank you for your time,

Check out q3map2build here - http://www.bobdev.com/

Great little standalone proggy that allows easy access to all the compile options.

Hi, since demoneye is pimping q3map2build, let me introduce you to Q3Map2Toolz. it´s a little big frontend that is based on q3me.

It has a few added features like new switches and active q3map monitoring. for more info, see my webbie: http://planetquake.com/hro

btw, version 0.05.0 is just fresh from the lab.

Ok cool, ill use this information wisely (and do more research, apparently there is a way to set up a .bat file just by looking deeper into some precompiled html help file: d0h!)

Thanks,

q3map3?

hehe, you can use a different version of q3map for each stage of the compile. /me laffs at confusion

(i added that so you don’t have to reset the paths when experimenting with the latest and greatest of your produce **and find out it’s more buggy then the previous one  )
