Baserace spawn fix

Well in the latest version of baserace, allies start the game in a wall. SOme people on our server asked us to fix this, and, before doing it, I’d like to know if it was already done. Searching on those forums didn’t help.

If someone has a “fixed” version of baserace, plase post a link for download here. Thanks in advance :smiley:

The final version doesn’t have such a bug… maybe if ur server is running 50 slots or something, otherwise I haven’t noticed anything.

Maybe it’s not the completely final version… the name goes by simply “baserace”, so I guess it’s the final version… Allies spawn where they would normally spawn if there was an outpost on (I believe it’s achieved with something like level 4 spawn and level 4 engineering), but that’s only at the start of the game. they can kill themselves and they’ll respawn normally. And this does not happen in warmup.

EDIT: I fixed it. Since the bug was happening only at start of round, I figured that the delay before hiding the spawns was too much. I reduced it from 200milliseconds to 50, and it works perfectly now. Sorry for bothering you guys.

btw … the bug is only on/at et2.55
thx … for solving the prob
now… i can stop fixing baserace on my own (ive deleted the outposts and done a new compile, cuz theyre not in use :wink:

For other people, it should be something like this:

works, but if you look at the limbo map you can notice, that the people are not counted by the spawncounter.
So i did it another way and used

spawn
{

//Bugfix Allies Spawnpoint at mapstart
wait 150
setautospawn “Allied Spawn” 1

}

Now you have “really” the right spawn (because you are counted…) :slight_smile:

yes sorry but our maps designer made the baserace desert map only for 2.60 b servers

It’s not on baserace desert, it’s on all Basrace maps i think…
BTW, i don’t want to make a new 2.55-2.6b discussion, but on my opinion, all maps should be run well on both versions. A good mapper can do this, and he should, of course.
