Baserace Source Files

Hello!

For anybody who is interested; I’ve put together a little pack of source files (.maps & .scripts) of a couple versions of my map, baserace. Unfortunately, I still can’t find the darn .map for the final version, but a in-progress development .map is included; and that has all relevant entities and scripting. If I locate that final .map I’ll add it later on.

There is also a new, simplified baserace ‘template’ .map with a super-commented .script file.

Hi CptnTriscuit,

maybe you remember my question about the incompatibility of the map with Noquarter 1.1.0 and crowded servers. The problem is that after the warmup one whole team get kicked out from the server.

There are many versions of your map: with snow, with desert, with dunno what else :slight_smile: but the problem is still there.

Someone sorted it out? May be a script problem?

we run on our server our own Baserace desert map 24/7 and we dont have any problem

hey bud,
good to see you around and to bad you cant find that .map file for your final map. was always so excited to see that map come out, it had so many cool features!
but thanks for the source files, i have a feeling a lot of people will come out with some great maps!!

When decompiling a map alot of things goes wrong. For example texture alignments are gone and so is detail vs structural brushes, misc_models, some origins etc… So that’s not a solution unfortunately. :frowning:

So you have no problem if i were to Decompile the Final version?

I have some experience in doing this and fixing everything wrong after the Decompile with Venice, i got permission from Chavo One and i made the NE versions in an attempt to stop the Max Chars Error.

So with your permission i would not mind doing the Decompile.

I already started to make a new BaseRace version using the Beta2 source file that you provided us (thank you) but it would be much better if i could use the Final version as a template.

I appreciate it, It will take awhile, ill post the .map file here once i fixed it from the decompile.
