So heres my odd little map in its first beta. How is the gameplay? Is it even playable? Does it tickle you in any particular way? I dont have a clue, so if you guys could tell me, that would be awsome! Im hunting for feedback! :smiley:

Map Overview:
Its a race, to build your base! Steal and secure construction materials from your enemy’s base to build up your own; the first team to complete their base wins. There are 13 constructions that must be completed for your team to win.

Secure them on your Capture Pads to unlock construction crates

Really nice idea, couldn’t test it yet with several players but I think it’ll play nice… Just some things :
You should really redesign the terrain :slight_smile:
The flat ground and the rocks around the map look uhm… a tad simple :wink: Make some hills and use alpha mod blending on them to change textures and stuff, pretty easy to do actually. :slight_smile:

Yeah I know - right now all the brush work is only sloppy temporary stuff. Everything will be replaced at some point. :slight_smile:

The Spawnpoint is to small, we need a bigger spawn.

Awsome concept!!, Is it possiable to make a time limit on the map also, we got stuck on sudden death for like an hr and i had to remove it, no one could get the last boxes…but man what great fun!!!

So there’s no winner when objectives are not fullfilled? And there’s no timelimit?
Hmm, little suggestion:
Just try to count the secured boxes.
And determine the winner from the number of secured boxes after timelimit is hit.
One accum can be used to store the data.
For example initialize an accum with 0.
If axis secure add 1.
If allied secure add -1.
If accum is greater then 0 if timelimit is hit then axis are winner.
Otherwise allied are winner.
You can also look wich team has secured the boxes as first team.

This is a good idea but in RL surely you wouldnt just end the map once you got the fortress up you would continue fighting defending your base (If you built it) against the enimys that want to destroy it to get there parts back.

Im going to put out beta 1-b - with a timelimit and some other fixes - but no major changes to the terrain or brushwork - still workin on the major stuff.
