Banning Tryhard config that give unfair advantages

(Dieu-Sama) #1

Like, people with 5k screen playing with extremely low FOV and a resolution that stretch at max the image to give both “extended” hitboxes and a zoom.

unfortunately there is no way to enforce this.

You wouldn’t be able to ban a rich kid who plays with a cinema-size quantum dot with nanosecond refresh rates, either ; P

Extremely low fov? How about 360° fov?

#4

Yeah, and I saw a guy with a nicer truck than me on my way home from work the other day. He shouldn’t be allowed to drive his until I buy a better one.

There are people who play below 60 FPS therefore I demand SD to restrict Dirty Bomb to 30 FPS.

(Your worst knifemare.) #6

I don’t have enough credits to buy Javelin so i want her banned for everyone until i can get her.

Idk, I mean, of course it seems unreasonable to not allow someone to use a massive screen, but it does make sense for the sake of everyone else who plays DB. You have to build your product around the majority of its fanbase.

There should be some sort of limitation to it, because DB is a competitive multiplayer game. Ideally no one should gain an advantage over other players because of hardware, but at least massive displays can be limited.

Like it has been said…nothing you can really do…but relish in the thought they need a cheesed out unfair advantage in order to beat you.

(Nail) #9

how do you limit what size screen someone owns ?

(watsyurdeal) #10

How is this thread here? I swear the same guy posted this a long time ago

(emjot) #11

I don’t play CS:GO, but I was helping out with some event where players were playing on 27’ curved screens with 1024x768 and stretched screen, it was and it is totally fine on majority of official events and tournaments.

Btw. that’s only illusion. Keep training your movement and aim

Majority of people on this thread : "Doping in competitive sports is perfectly fine. Lance Armstrong is an hero  "

(MarsRover) #13

Dirty Bomb should only start if it detects you are using a ball mouse!

No. One is about the equipment and its configuration, the other is about the person itself. A better analogy would be forcing every Formula 1 driver to use the same exact parts with the same exact setup.

Yeah the game is super competitive, lol. If anything they should offer us more options to make “tryhard” configs and make it readily available for anyone to use.

(Dieu-Sama) #17

At the veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery least force player to play with their screen’s native resolution to avoid the “extended environements and opponents’s hitboxes” bullshit

Those who play more distant needs a lesser FOV than those who play more often in close quarter. And each has his own taste. I used to play at the highest FOV (100) and recently get down to 90.
