Bani im proberly Bugging the shit outta ya on IRC about this but i would love to see OPEN-SOURCE for RTCW Bani 1.33.
WE ALL LOVE IT… and i would like to add some things to it if possible.
I would even pay you for it :slight_smile:
Or make a donation towards something…

You better ask for it to be free, cuz if he charges you for it, it ain’t gonna be for just $5000…

I believe the source-code license for RTCW (and Enemy-Territory) explicitly prohibit
the sale of binaries/source derived from their game SDK’s. And they do NOT require
any author to release source code to mods based on the games.

Of course a mod-author can always obtain (pay) for a commercial license from the
powers that be and subsequently charge for their source/binary mods.

Here’s a clip from ET’s SDK license regarding mods:

       You are only permitted to distribute, without any cost
        or charge, the New Creations to other end-users so long as such
        distribution is not infringing against any third party right and
        is not otherwise illegal or unlawful. As noted below, in the event
        you commercially distribute or commercial exploit the New Creations
        or commit any other breach of this Agreement, your licenses, and
        this Agreement, shall automatically terminate, without notice.
