Bandwidth requirement?

It’s been a while since I’ve played, and it’s good to be back. But I encountered a lot of teleporting while playing. I’d take shelter behind a wall, then suddenly I’m in the middle of an open area, facing a different direction, and being shot at. Or be shooting someone and suddenly be facing a wall and shooting that while they shot me in the back.

What’s the current bandwidth requirement to play? I’m at 1.5 Mb down and .5 Mb up, thanks to rural DSL.

it’s known as “rubber banding”. Where do you live? Connect to servers closest to you and avoid using wifi if possible

Sounds like packet loss. Your connection should be fast enough for most games. Though on such a slow line I suspect you have issues with packet loss. 0.5 Mb up might be a little low, but I doubt it. You just gotta make sure you’re the only one using the internet and no other program is doing any uploads or some shit. If you’re using some kind of voice chat software like Team Speak, Skype, Mumble or anything then try to turn that off, it could be too much.

I’m on Prince Edward Island (the place that got bombed by snow last week).
I’m using 1 Gb ethernet on the internal network, no wifi. I have a feeling that there’s a lot of dropped packets on this line. We’re pretty much in the middle of nowhere.
