Balancing update any time soon?

Hi guys,

Yes this is another thread about Aura/Medics. I believe she needs a little tweaking. I play her a lot and have obviously played a lot against her, so I’m not basing this on just one game.

The main issue is the medic station and I know you’ve heard it all before but it is overpowered when used well. The main way to completely hold an objective or dominate a game is to place a medic station behind cover or round a cover and simply run in and out of the station/cover. By doing this you basically have God mode. You pop out of cover kill one or two, loose health and pop back into the med station and boom 100 hp almost instantly, then repeat. Come on, I know you’ve all seen it. The most sensible way of tweaking this would be making HP regen from medic stations slower or by having a few seconds wait before receiving health from the station.

Another issue would be reviving. I know instant reviving has been part of this game and ET for years however that isn’t really the issue, in my opinion you shouldn’t be able to revive a chain of players. What I mean is reviving one player after another. For example, I got a triple earlier then Aura arrived revived the first guy, he starts shooting and then revived the other 2 and I die. That should not happen, I basically got punished for getting a triple. I would have gotten the drugs and won the game. A way to tweak this could be adding a few seconds between the revival of teammates, simple.

What do you guys think? How would you tweak Aura as surely she’s not fit in her current state? When do you think the next update to balancing will come?

After playing for a while, I really don’t think Aura is OP anymore. Maybe back in closed beta, yea, but not anymore.

She has incredibly low health, and can be killed under the influence of her healing station pretty easily as long as you land headshots. Yea she is fast, and yea shotguns hurt, but Aura is fine.
As for reviving, I don’t really know, maybe a cooldown between revives?

Sawbones is so much more powerful than Aura. It’s not even close. Aura makes you give up your position to get healed or requires you to stand on it while holding a giant sign that says, “NADE ME, I’M STUPID!”

A good Sawbonez will keep all teammates in his area healed up while they stay in position, away from nade magnets and usually without them even knowing it.

The revives in ET were limited, u had a certain amount of syringes… anyways. The Problem is the gibbing if u ask me not the revive.

you had 10. An ammo pack would give you more, if not fill it up back to 10 again.

The likelihood of you spending all 10 syringes in an entire game was… slim.

Dont think Aura is Op or needs any tweaking at all currently as she is she’s fine. Most of the complaining i see is i killed X amount of players and she revived them all, well this game is kind of a team game, so naturally if your team pushed together you could over come that Aura.

More nerfs would make her way to weak to be even worth playing.

Also as long as Each merc has a counter i don’t see a problem at all.

Aura gets one shot from Fletcher’s Direct sticky’s i think fragger & Nader can also one shot her
